A rumination not exactly related to Ms. Daffney, but considering the unfortunate circumstances, a resonant topic~
Personal incentive to keep moving forward, is continually explored every moment of existing, consciously or unconsciously. How we interact, or don't interact, with each other affects how we view our incentives, or disincentives. And that has to be carried not just in the moments with others but, in solitary moments as well. The invisible times between when we do reach out to others, have immense gravity, and mustn't be underestimated.
That's why it's so important to find something, a hope, in the classic, non commercialized, definition of that word, that keeps you putting one foot in front of the other. Even if what the step towards is undefined, it's at least away, and better than, the struggle that was walked behind. It's at least worth being alive to say that on your own terms, you came through the best, and worst, architecture of your existence is it not?
Last note, if you believe in anyway, the sentiment "no one else is going to help you but yourself", "ultimately we're on our own" "everyone's only out for themselves" or something like that, then please don't be disingenuous and suggest to people "to reach out to someone" in the heart of despair, because it would be a hollow gesture. Trust, and believe, people see through such cognitive dissonance alot. Just be a ear to listen.
