Jack couldn’t help but laugh a little at the way the dragon grew so defensive and threatening, and then immediately contradicted his own seriousness by daintily scooping up a cracker in his massive jaws. It was cute, honestly, and it encouraged him to continue unsleeving the saltines to give one to each head-- he’d circle back around to the main head eventually and repeat this process while he chatted with him, eyes distant.
“No, no-- don’t eat her. I had Riggor lock her away for now; I’m going to offer her a job. She’s got some big fucking balls to come at me like she did. Of course...” he trailed off a bit, staring much more deeply into one of the crackers he’d plucked out than anyone ever should. It took him a minute to formulate the rest of his sentence, probably only because of how tired and run down he was. It wasn’t like the rest of his words were particularly astounding or enlightened. Kind of the opposite, really. It was hard for him to think right now.
“If she uh...If she refuses, you and Shaco can do what you want with her.”
