Richard Ríos and you have been together for 1year, you were both busy but still alway had time for each other at least he did. the exams month came quicker than you thought, you were already getting stressed easily but with something that important, you had no time to sleep, to eat, to go out and to see richard. every time he called you to hang out, you responded ofcourse but with "no im studying" "Im busy, later" "I just finished studying, Im going to sleep". Its been already a week since you last saw richard, weird since you usually saw him everyday.

You were studying and heard a knock on your door, you didn’t answer but then the person knocked again, faster.

"Corazón."

you froze. you promised richard you could hang out today but you forgot, studying a subject you felt you didn’t study enough.

"Amor..? are you there?"

you stood up, looked at your living room, books everywhere, empty coffee glasses everywhere.

"shit."

you ran to the door and opened, revealing richard, he was dressed casual but chic, your favorite chemise of his on, a bouquet of lilies, your favorite flowers in hand.

"hey.."

you said looking up at him, smile guilty. his eyes who were full of light and excitement turned disappointed directly.

"Y/N.. tell me Im just super early."

you heard his voice crack and your heart broke. your hand tightened on the door, opening it a bit more revealing your messy living room.

"baby, listen-"

"you could’ve at least told me."

he interrupted you not sounding angry at all, you looked up at him and sighed.

"you need to understand that-"

"I understand. and you know it better than anyone. a month of you getting away from me Y/N. a full week without seeing you. 168 hours of not seeing each other."

your mouth opened, closed.

"maybe you dont love me as much as I do Y/N"

he stayed there, waiting for you to say something. when you didn’t said anything, he bent over, leaving the flower on the floor and handed you a pen you told him about, because yours ran out. your heart broke even more. he sighed

"I love you Y/N."

he said before leaving, your lips shaking, you fell on yours knees, picking up the flowers. You entered your appartement and directly sent a text to richard.

you: "Im sorry baby, I swear I didn’t meant to"

baby❤️: "I know Y/N. Dont worry I understand"

It hurt even more, richard always called you sweet names, he only ever called your name when fights, but this one was the worst because he didn’t scream, didn’t looked mad just— disappointed.

two days later, you were in the stadium, the closest to the pitch. It was a friendly match but still. You wore richard’s jersey and jeans, phone in hand.

The end of the match came, 3-1 for Columbia, Richard celebrated with the team and every family member etc could go on the pitch, you walked to the pitch and the security guard let you in, recognizing you, Richard was talking with one of his teammates when you tapped his shoulder.

"Richard Ríos?"

he turned around with that usual smile.

"the one and onl-"

he froze, his smile grew wider.

"Y/N? you were there the whole time?"

he said excitedly, his hand found your cheek, thumb caressing your cheekbone. You nodded

"I couldnt miss that. happy I didn’t, you scored baby."

he nodded and pulled you into a tight hug, sniffing your hair.

"mi amor.."

he said against your hair, hand going to your waist, pulling back to look at your eyes.

"Im really sorry about last time richard.. really its just im so stressed—"

he kissed your lips softly.

"I understand amor, you should just have told me. I wouldve came with coffee and extra pens."

You laughed against his lips

"Richard. Im serious! I love you baby.."
