Mount Rainier gets some snow. In fact, places on Mount Rainier get a lot of snow. By the numbers, Paradise on Mount Rainier is one of the snowiest places on earth. Mt Baker beat us out by 18 inches for snowiest winter (1140” versus our snowiest at 1122”). Nothing but love for our Cascade Range sibling.
Snow can fall here any month of the year and has in the past. Have you experienced snow at Mount Rainier National Park?
Did you end up driving down the road with gusty snowflakes swirling around you? Have you snowshoed past snow swathed trees? Did you find fantastic formations of ice and snow? Or maybe a slushy snowball fight in June?
What’s your favorite memory of snow at Mount Rainier? What was the most amazing snow you’ve caught on camera here? ~ams
