Rimmah Vir Nivis was born in to the well off but highly religious Rabinowitz family. Growing up she found her community loving and warm but stifling, like she was born in the right place but in the wrong body. It was an internal struggle she kept to herself for many years out of fear of disappointing her parents. She has always felt a kinship with creatures commonly considered pests- insects, vermin, etc. her plan was to go to college and become an Entomologist. Had she came out to her parents things would have gotten very complicated but her they never would have stopped loving her. Unfortunately, this was something Rimmah would never get to learn as her parents both passed away in her early 20s
Without them she felt more lost than she ever had before and one night found herself secluded. She was preyed upon by a snowman (TBN) who had every intention of making her in to his next meal. She lost an arm in the process but using her pent up frustration and grief she put up a fight like she never had before. Impressed with her tenacity the snowman decided to turn her.
To make a long story short, Rimmah embraced the fresh start at life she received. Even though her life is quite different now she still chooses to keep some traditions from her former life. She eventually married in to an elite Snowciety family and now spends her days studying her passions and indulging in her love of classical music.

Anon I need you to know that immediately upon seeing this ask (last night) I messaged the group chat "well now I have a day to write a death note oneshot"
Unfortunately, while I did try to get a chapter update for you purely from this ask, it didn't end up happening. Even after I drifted away from the death note fandom I was still slowly working on Frostbitten and Hey Pretty Baby on the side, and I still have plans to finish both someday! But this year, my chronic illness decided to sucker punch me in a way it has never done before, and I have unfortunately been on a pretty strict (if self imposed) writing hiatus for several months.
Still, this ask touched me in the most significant and meaningful way. Seeing that people still read and enjoy my works - even ones that have been on a break for years - brings me a joy so strong that I could (and do) cry. I'm sorry I couldn't deliver the chapter, but please know that I did write for longer than I have in many months now last night, and it gave me some hope that I've been lacking for a while.
If it helps - and this applies to any work I have posted for any fandom even if it's been untouched for years - I LOVE talking about my works, and I have a lot of notes and drafts that I would love to share to anyone interested in where some of these stories are going. I can't promise any new writing this year, as I have been focusing solely on my health, but I am ALWAYS down to yap about my projects and spoil several chapters ahead with snippets and drafts. I'll make a more cohesive post about this at some point, as I have been wanting to make a post about my health and some FAQ I've been getting about previous WIPs, but yeah!
Thank you, anon, truly. I got to write again last night. And even though I don't have anything quite ready to share on ao3, please know that all of my works, even if they seem abandoned, have places in my heart and mind and I FULLY intend to finish them, even if it takes many years to do so.

This is…a weird grouping. Honestly, I almost forgot these three books existed; I remembered the broad strokes of the first six or seven books fairly clearly, and I know roughly what the last three are about, but before rereading these three I couldn’t have named a single thing that happens in them, or even what characters show up beyond the vaguest stab in the dark.
That’s not to say that these books are bad; I actually really enjoyed these ones, despite how different they are from the rest of the series so far. Following in the trend started by No Humans involved, Personal Demon has a POV character whose supernatural powers don’t help her defend herself, and Living with the Dead doubles down on that with the first entirely human protagonist!
Frostbitten is just a weird addition to the series, in my opinion. All of the other books have felt connected, with characters from one being friends with characters from another, or being mentioned in the background, but this one was basically all werewolves until most of the way through the main plot! I definitely wouldn’t skip these three stories, but it was a little disappointing to have the momentum broken like that.
