This means upgrading your Trading Post, Factory, and Power Plant to level 3.

I started this game only 2 weeks ago, but I am already making steady and solid LMD income and EXP production to level units and save up for E2 Promotions. You can see from the screenshots above I have over 150k LMD. I am also making up to 43k LMD per day and Yellow EXP worth 34,000. I can easily E1 units ever since and now can earn resources for E2.

There are different ways to arrange or upgrade your base and i suggest you click that link to see what are the pros and cons of each design.

Personally, I went for 252 setup (2 Lvl 3 Trading Post, 5 Lvl 3 Factories, and 2 Lvl 3 Power Plants), which is pictured above because I want to E2 my best operators as soon as possible. 

It gives the most resources, but you will not be able to fully upgrade the right side of your base and your dormitories due to the lack of a power plant. This requires min-max management, which is really not as daunting as it sounds. All you have to do is check every 12 hours and rotate your operators so they can recover in the dormitory in time when their next shift starts. You do not want them to be fatigued because that will stop production and it’s hard to recover a fully fatigued operator with level 1 dorms.

However, you would want to switch to a 243 setup soon, so you can fully upgrade your right side: Reception, Office, and Training Room so you get to farm more Credits, Certificates, and perform Skill mastery. You can also do 243 immediately but this has lesser resources than 252. Thus, I advise to do 243 once you have E2′d your best operators and you already have the need to train your operators to master their skills.

I highly discourage 153 setup because you will end up with so much EXP but not enough LMD to use them. Best to have the right amount of LMD and EXP. You also do not want to use Sanity to farm CE-5. Only time you want to do this is when building your base since LMD is required to make building items. Your sanity is best used for farming Elite 2 Promotion Materials, which are not guaranteed drops.

TL;DR: 

Prioritize in fully upgrading the left side of your base. Your base is your F2P way to earn LMD and EXP without using Sanity/stamina. If you are new, do 252 setup to get the most LMD and EXP. Switch to 243 when you have E2′d enough operators and need to M3.

To wrap up, your priority list is to make your units strong enough to be able to auto-deploy in SK-5 (Resource Search) and CE-5 (Cargo Escort), so you can farm materials to build your base asap.
