Another look at my friend Mark's @riggioguitars #Sierra #lefty. I tried to do justice to the beauty of the #lacquer checking in this shot, but it's tough to capture! If you do the ol' pinch n' zoom to get in closer, you can sort of see it (take a look along the top edge of the #pickguard for example). It was a CRAZY Straturday out at @folkwaymusic today. On top is the owner Mark's personal @riggioguitars lefty Strat replica (did I mention I'm in LOVE with this guitar? 😁) with a vintage, actual, real, one-owner, all original 1962 Stratocaster on the bottom - one of the cleanest vintage Strats I have ever seen. And these aren't the only ones either...there were other cool Strato-muh-casters there today too! Today was supposed to be about my refretted Musicmaster, but while I was out at @folkwaymusic to pick it up, the shop owner, Mark, showed me his incredible custom @riggioguitars lefty Stratocaster replica. I have owned at least 15 Strats in my life, many of them Custom Shop Relics and Closet Classics. This Riggio was as good as any of them...and better than many! The aging is subtle and extremely authentic... look at that gorgeous checking! And lightweight too... no more than 7 lbs. I told Mark that I would buy this guitar....even though it is a lefty...and string it right-handed reverse Hendrix style! And I almost never want to buy Stratocasters! This one was that good.
