OK i finally got inspiration to answer this. after like. a billion days.

👑 Royalty AU

so this au would be like... since Oria is already technically royalty, instead of them running away from their responsibilities, the Normandy would ~recruit~ them the good old fashioned way of showing up to the royal palace and being like... hey....... help us fight Saren and the Geth. btw this is Liara you probably know her mom's a traitor also working w/ Saren.

and i kinda wrote a thing about the whole recruitment but i did not particularly like it, but i did enjoy thinking about Oria's outfit as a princess (technically heir because ~gender neutral~ jsdhfg)

but anyway this is their royal gown they wear when Kaidan, because Kaidan is the one sent to try and recruit her specifically while Rose and Liara try to work to convince the current Queens of Pethea to let them take their princess

this gown, by Teuta Matoshi because i am the most simple person and i LOVE everything Teuta Matoshi makes, and they have this shawl just because it's pretty and it protects their ~dignity~ but they don't actually use it as a covering, just a titty accent because it's funny.

and Kaidan is immediately... Immediately taken with them when he sees them, and he's like... "wow. okay. theyre captivating. no wonder Commander wants them as part of the crew. he thought it was silly at first, stacking so many biotics, but seeing them he's like... Alright. Got it.

and then they speak, and he is just overwhelmed by how witty this asari princess, asari heir, asari royalty is, and he can imagine that wit coming in handy, and he hopes that their skills in battle can measure up to what he's seeing here because he likes them. just from this one meeting. he is completely smitten. it's embarrassing, honestly.

because when he returns to the Normandy with the Asari Heir in tow, it's obvious how smitten he is with her. (and its clear that Rose is smitten too. might take Garrus a bit, but that's alright.)

and Oria is oblivious to the effect they have on Kaidan. they like to use their Asari endowments to make people uncomfortable or feel too comfortable with them (so they'll be more open, let their guard down, and then she can take advantage of that and get what information she needs from them). but they don't think it lasts. can't imagine it lasting beyond the initial meeting.

but they're not used to being around someone who is completely taken with them consistently.

their ship dynamic is interesting to say the least. tbh Jordi literally saved Morgana's life, because she got fuckt up by one of the gangs for uh. not entirely delivering on her end of a contract, thinking she could get away with it because of who her parents are and thinking they prepared her to deal w it. (Spoiler: None Of Them Prepared Her.) (Spoiler: Her Family History Is Very Complex.)

and in true Me Fashion, Morgana is entirely oblivious to Jordi's growing feelings for her over the next, like, four years. because they meet very much pre-wd1 but post-Ray defecting from Blume (this is important information)

she's just absolutely convinced she's just in love with this man who doesn't pay her any mind. and Jordi just sort of assumes they're in that Not Official But Together sort of relationship? he's like, yeah this checks out. (but also his own personal stuff make him... wary of bringing up with her and Making It Official. He's cocky and confident but after years of loving this woman, he can't stand the idea that he'd lose her in any way, shape, or form.)

honestly they're both dipsticks and oblivious to a fault when it comes to their feelings for each other.

it literally takes the fiasco with Aiden and Jordi deciding to leave Chicago for them to both be like, hey.

because Morgana is like, No. You're Not Leaving Me Here. and he's like.... yeah of course i'm not thats why i came home. and she's like. you dont understand. and hes like, no i think i do. and then shes like. im in love with you. and hes like. i know. im in love with you. and she shoves him but hes ready for it and he pulls her with him and pulls her to him and yeah.

they leave together

OKAY WELL... i think i'd like to gush about... hmm. you know what. i havent talked on this blog much about my brba polycule but Gale has been on my mind the last couple of days so... i think i'd like to gush a little bit about Gale!

okay so right out of the gate, i love him SO much actually. like. what a sweetheart. he's so gentle and soft and sure he makes drugs for a living but you know, we all have flaws and honestly my man's got MONEY so. i am looking the other way

also my brba s/i is literally just like. working for Gus as an enforcer and in a polycule with Gale, Mike, Gus, and Victor, and so like can my s/i really judge? no he can't and no he WON'T.

anyway Gale is ... he's just GOOD. like he's just... GOOD. he's interesting and so intelligent and even though i don't know a lot about chemistry, it's fascinating to listen to him talk about it all because he's PASSIONATE about it and it's so sweet that he loves me so much to share it with me. and seeing his face light up when i ask him to explain some particular element of what he's talking about? *chef's kiss* fucking divine.

nd like. the explicit amount of trust he puts in me??? wonderful. i hope i can keep earning his trust and keep him close to my heart because LORDT knows he deserves to be happy and on the gods i will do everything in my power to keep him safe from Cancer McMethy because... i love him.

i take care of Gale, but i also get to make him flustered and i think that's wonderful ♥ seeing a man get all sweet and soft and blushy for me? honestly i crave that and Gale gives me that and it's so wonderfully cute... i can't help but adore him.
