Masahiko had never really considered his need for personal space in much detail, and hadn’t really been given the opportunity. However, when he wasn’t dancing or in his room with a client, he liked a little space to himself.
That, and the people he was around... He was still debating whether he trusted them or not. Maybe a bad idea to be around them like this, but he had to know the truth. Was Ukiyo the good guy, like he’d thought, or the bad guy? It was confusing, and he didn’t like how on edge he was.
Unfortunately, the human with the odd hair seemed to be the unfortunate victim(?) of this. It was just a little too sudden, a little too close, and Masahiko reacted on instinct, with the closest weapon to hand. He did feel guilty after the fact, however; still leaned away from the boy.
“I... I am sorry, Red Paladin,” He apologised, but didn’t come any closer.
“I should have controlled myself...”
