I think yes, they have similar backgrounds when it comes to profesional life, you know? While Pym Tech seems that didn't make it public the creation of weapons, and that it was Cross the one who did that (since Hank is a pacifist and would never do that), both of them needed to work on that field and then helped to stop the thing.

Now, both women has to deal with their asshole bosses, and I love that both of them chosen a different pat when it comes to said assholes. Mostly because Pepper’s kiddy boss is Tony Stark and the man could be an ass but is yooooouuuur ass and a good man, while Cross was incredible out of his mind and space, like ewww creep, get out. Then, Hank and Tony are people who actually are alike when it comes to their pride on the things they have done and are proud of aka the Iron man suit and the Pym Particle; but the difference is that while Hank, from another generation and with the trauma of the way he lost Jan, tried to protect Hope by not letting her near the Particle, Tony decided it was better to put Pepper on a suit to do so, and to create more and more suits to keep her (and himself) safe. I guess they can relate to that, to the man of their life trying to protect them just to end of the protecting them lol
