They talk about him a little at the beginning, when they're in the truck, where Rebecca pins the blame for Alvin's death solely on Kenny's reckless behavior back at the lodge - since he's being reckless again and trying to plan a way out.

The chair that Alvin would have been in if he was alive remains empty, but bloody. Carver remarks that if Clem doesn't tell the truth that she'll go from the chair she's sitting in to that one. (Rebecca was in his office before Clementine was and was crying when she left, by the way.)
