it would make so much sense to me if zika felt betrayed, like a waste of a character, because he had this whole elaborate story line and he knew the outcome to his world. he was supposed to be important, the one who would save the universe, but i tossed him aside for a different character, and now he's bitter. mad.
he was a prophet, the divine seer's chosen subject, he knew his end goal and what he had to do to get there. he was gifted the seer's eyes, he had a purpose, a life that was predestined, he knew it all from the beginning. he was to climb the tallest mountain, then beyond that, into the heavenly light of the stars, and gain power beyond understanding in order to stop the universe from plunging into *chaos.
but i didn't choose him, instead i set him aside and made new characters, a new bloodline, a whole different cast better suited for the story which would unfold. and while that's sorta true, berry was a better protagonist until i set her side for just a moment to move the plot forward. sure, she may have been a mary sue, overpowered, but i loved her and her story. obviously more than zika's.
but he was still angry, betrayed, alone in the world that had no need for him any longer. so, did he carve his own place into the universe? did he force himself into canon so he could be important again? did he change his name, his status, his everything, become someone entirely different, just so he had a purpose again? or did i do that?
every time i think about how complicated my friend's oc lore is i remember that i technically made it so that i (me) (myself) exist within the canon of my story. like. im literally there. not a self insert (well appearance wise yes) it's literally JUST me and they are a magic fish person

if im being totally honest, i dont think i ever had a backstory for him. i just made up a possible design for a sona, well more than one, and picked parts i liked from him and turned it into a different character (was a sona, not anymore). so now, just thinking out loud here... what if he was the "princess" character i thought up? i dont think i ever posted about her actually.
however this kind young girl turned into the cultist freak he is today is beyond me. how does a girl go from slaying monsters and falling in love to attempting to kill god and put his soul into her body?? that's so. what happened to you bro
i think part of the reason why i haven't said a single coherent thing about arka is because it's supposed to be largely a romantic comedy kinda story and like... my aro ass has NO clue how to do that.
romance is a big thing and it's almost integral to the story (loving others to learn to love yourself and shit) but girl i haven't ever had a crush that wasnt gender envy in a trenchcoat. i dont know how to do this shit im sorry monika girl
