Rhonda Fleming was an American film and television actress and singer. She acted in more than 40 films, mostly in the 1940s and 1950s, and became renowned as one of the most glamorous actresses of her day, nicknamed the "Queen of Technicolor" because she photographed so well in that medium.
This magnificent gown, skillfully created by costume designer Jean Louis, was first worn in the 1953 film ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐ ๐ by Rhonda Fleming as Cleopatra. A decade later, the gold, purple, and bejeweled creation reemerged in the 1963 epic ๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, donned by Nancy Kovac as Medea. ๐ฎ ย This remarkable piece was once part of Debbie Reynoldsโ costume collection before it was auctioned in December 2011! ย Want to know what it sold for? ๐ธ Visit our site to learn more! ย ย

What I didn't care for was everything made in those days was black and white, very hard black and white too, there was nothing really pretty about it, even my auburn hair became jet black. -#RhondaFleming https://www.instagram.com/p/B_czYYRhPkb/?igshid=1c1oby4oed4s4
Slightly Scarlet 1956
Watched this movie yesterday afternoon, what a lovely way to spend a Sunday. Very enjoyable. Only ever watched this movie once in the past, when I was a very little girl. So pleased to have seen it again and loved it.ย ย Staring the very beautifulย Rhonda Fleming, the very handsomeย John Payne, and the very attractiveย Arlene Dahl. When I looked it up, was nice to see, both Rhonda and Arlene are still alive today, but sad to find, John Payne died in 1989.ย ย
The drama performance was of a very high standard. It was a dark moody story-line but highly executed by talented skills. I wanted to know where this film was shot, it had a pretty incredible beach view during the night. There was a distant shot at night with a car driving up to an elaborate house... good old Hollywood style. That particular scene was filmed at Westward Beach, Westward Beach Road, Malibu.ย
If you havenโt seen it, I would thoroughly recommend, especially if classics are your thing.
