Sadness : have they experienced grief? from what? if they haven’t, what do you think will cause it?

The day that his mother died it was almost as if he became someone else entirely. He was so struck with grief that he refused to talk to anyone and kept him self isolated for a long time - only really ever talking to his older brother in that period. Another experience would be from the war his father started as he lost contact with a lot of good friends from the other regions and he really didn’t like that.

Heart : is there anyone they hold dear?

Location : what’s their favourite place to go to, and why?

cero’s favourite hideaway (so far) is his workshop. it (mostly) drowns out the other smells he’s exposed to every day, and most of the things there are fragrant; the wood around, for example, is made of mahogany, and so are the shelves, and the table upon which he works his so-called ‘magic’. there’s a consistency within it -- the glass smells like glass and the liquids all smell the same, and so does the tightly-packed earth at his feet. it’s one of the few places he can walk around without the burdensome mask on his face, and be able to breathe in all this constancy that the world cannot hope to have. 

Nerve : does your character have any nervous habits?

he often rubs or scratches his cheek with the scar on it, mask or not. in bouts of extreme anxiety he scratches the inside of his palms. 

Odour : do they have a favourite scent?

fire lilies are his favourite. it reminds him most of first loves and the innocence of a childhood almost forgotten. 

Phobia : what is your character’s biggest phobia, and why?

ah, how he wished that were true. there were other ghosts he wished would haunt his heart less, and first loves and first betrayals were definitely one of them, and there was only one name attached to both. his heart physically ached from it, but he couldn’t act less than professional towards a customer.

“We cannot help the weight that was placed on our shoulders.” Shin replied, thankful for the female’s help in helping him don his military uniform meant to appear in the Suryan Court. 

Matching her pace quickly, he keeps up with her. Not that she could out run him anyway but that wasn't the point. He can't help but smile when he see’s the pout grow on her lips. Its so unlike her he can't help but find it amusing. Most people would given they were in his position. 

But despite his smile, he can't help but feel a frown take over his lips, his brows furrowing slightly. Why was she always like this towards him, so cold and trying to ignore him constantly. It was the same now, she didn't have to show it, he just knew.

♕~ What a perfect sentiment and one that Hikari knew a lot of. 

Her childhood was proof of why some promises aren’t worth keeping though not many people knew about it. To most people, she was the privileged second princess of the great nation of Surya and many would kill to be in her position for there was unimaginable wealth and power that came with being born of such a bloodline but with it as well came many painful secrets. Nonetheless, Hikari braved each day and took all her brokenness with stride and so she managed one more smile albeit a small one and gifted it to the lady-in-waiting. “Wise words that we both should heed.” She began. “But one little candy bar would not hurt and it’s not like the queen would notice, right?” 

“Jangmi, such words make my heart ache.” His lips pull into a teasing pout and he places his hands upon where his heart is. Before his ‘hurt’ act falls apart and he lets out a small laugh. “Thats probably the most depressing thing you have ever said to me, its quite un-befitting of you.” He smiles more genuinely towards her, one she probably almost never saw. He walks over to her and leans his chin on her shoulder. His teasing manner still intact despite his kind smile.
