<3 authorâs note: i love love love her sm so here is this short fic ! â :) Iâm currently working on my requests - I have some Anakin, Luke, Cal, and Merrin stuff in the works... ;)Â
⧠Summary: Itâs been a while since youâve been able to feel the Force, and thereâs no better way to do it then have your Jedi girlfriend help you out.
âCome here. Iâm going to help you relax.â
Her soft, silky voice aided her hands in guiding your leg to cross on the floor.Â
âNow put your hands on your knees. They can face the sky or downward.â She grazed your hands with light fingers, setting them gently on your legs. You felt her move around you, ever aware of her presence as your eyes fluttered shut.Â
She moved just behind you. You noticed stray strands of her smooth hair dangling from her face, tickling the side of your cheek. You could feel her hovering over you on the right, whispering gently into your ear, âNow breathe. Just in and out, like that. Softly. Donât force it, okay? Let it be natural.âÂ
Youâd swear it was working if her sweet voice wasnât putting you to sleep. But not enough to really do soâŚit was working.Â
It had been a long time since youâd felt the force. It used to be a wonderful, playful, magical thing in your life. It brought you peace and allowed you to feel free, even if it was just for a moment.Â
That was until being hunted down by Inquisitors and the Empire corrupted your flow and relationship with the force. Until now, it had been a symbol of restraint and horror to you. It was something to be ashamed of. It had been what kept you on the run and what eventually got you captured and tortured. You had resented it. Youâd hated it.
But that warmth you felt now - the feeling of it rushing and humming all around you, through your fingertips, hair, and entire body. Through the floor you sat on, Reyâs saber sat near her body, and the woman herself who had let you reconnect with your first love and light again.
Your second love was quiet. She was concentrating hard, making it her goal to help you reconnect with the force. She could feel a sudden, warm, pink presence in the air. It was lovely, swirling all infront of her like a bubble of compassion, friendlessness, and sweetness.
Though your saber was blue, Rey often found the color aura of Jediâs around her matched their saber. Her yellow aura was clear as day to you despite your closed eyes. It mixed with reds and blue, pinks and greens - but the clearest was that sunshine yellow. Your mind flooded with happiness, joy, and hope as you reached for her through the force.Â
You both opened your eyes once youâd forgotten to breathe, the familiar yet fairly experienced scenario stripping your other scenes.Â
You were gasping for air as Rey stroked your arm, coming to your side right as she broke from it as you did.Â
Once your breath returned, your heart beating as it should - or as slow as it could with her presence - she moved excitedly in front of you. Her hands gripped your shoulders softly, shaking you as she shouted, âThat was you! I felt you, you did it!âÂ
A long needed hug from the Jedi ensured as her arms wrapped around your frame, the warmth of her shoulder muffling your tears.Â
âThank you.â
âOf course, love. Iâll never let you lose it again.â

Summary: A certain flyboy decides to flirt with you. You find his advances hilarious for a number of reasons.
a/n: I was way too lazy to beta read this so uh sorry for any typos
You hop out of your x-wing, a loud thud reverberating across the bustling tarmac as your boots make contact with the ground. You lift off your helmet, a sigh of relief falling from your lips as waves of cool air roll over your flushed face.
You shrug off the top half of your flight suit as you walk across the hangar to grab a tool kit, tying the orange sleeves around your waist. The black tank top you have on under it clings to you like a second skin, drenched with sweat. You pick at it, sighing. The people down in laundry must hate pilots, and you canât really blame them.
You make your way back over to your ship, halting a few yards away when you notice a guy standing in front of it.
Hesitantly, you approach him, casually clearing your throat to alert him of your presence. His head snaps around at the noise, and a pink tone creeps into his cheeks.
âUh, hi,â you say awkwardly, lifting a hand in greeting.
âHi, sorry,â he says quickly. Gosh, sheâs cute. He absentmindedly cards a hand through his hair. âIâm Poe, Poe Dameron.â He extends a hand, and you take it, smiling.
âY/N L/N. Nice to meet you.â
âI just really like the paint job on your ship. Whoâd you get it done by?â
Smiling, you prop the toolbox on your hip. âI did it with a couple of friends, actually.â It was one of your proudest accomplishments - if you forget the huge mess that was made on the tarmac after Ellie accidentally tripped over one of the paint containers.
âWow,â Poe breathes, nodding appreciatively. Cute and capable.
âYeah,â you laugh, walking past him and hopping up onto the wing you need to work on. âIt took us a couple of days, but it was definitely worth it. So much better than that shitty yellow it used to be.â You pull out a wrench, going to work on the nearest bolt. Your arms strain as you push against the stubborn piece of metal, but it eventually gives way, and you sigh with relief, pushing a few fallen strands of hair back from your face. You look up, and, to your surprise, Poe is still standing there, watching you. âYes?â you say sarcastically, snorting in amusement as he startles.
âSorry,â he laughs, shaking his head. âUh, I have a...proposal.â You tilt your head to the side, hopping down from your ship. You land next to him and cross your arms in front of you.
âIs that so?â you say, and he nods, grinning.
Rey watches from across the hangar as you work on your ship. She smiles. Youâd been away for so long, it felt like an eternity. She knows itâs only been a few weeks, and that helping planets get back on their feet after the First Order left was important, but still. It had been so long. So. Damn. Long.
âHey, can you hold this for a second?â she asks a nearby runway tech, nodding at the DataPad in her hands. They nod, and she beams gratefully, before heading over in your direction. Her steps falter as you hop down from your ship and approach Poe, whoâs standing nearby, seemingly speaking with you. Your words slowly become more audible as she approaches.
âIs that so?â you ask him, crossing your arms. She smiles.
âHow about you and me get a drink sometime? I hear that pub on Ajara makes a mean Arboite Twister.â Her stomach drops. Heâs got to be kidding.
âOf course!â you say, smiling. You know what heâs trying to do, and find it somewhat entertaining. You glance over his shoulder momentarily at a quiet rustling noise and see Rey standing nearby. You smile at him, holding up a finger. âI have one request.â He quirks a brow.
âWhatâs that?â You quickly sprint over to Rey, grab her hand, and pull her over.
âCan my girlfriend come?â You ask, grinning. His face falls, cheeks turning bright red.
âYouâre Y/N? Like, the Y/N?â he exclaims, eyes widening. Rey nods, and you laugh, nodding. âIâm so sorry, seriously,â he says, words tripping over each other.
âItâs fine,â you and Rey say at the same time, laughing.
âDrinks do sound nice, though,â you say, and your girlfriend elbows you in the side, laughing. You pinch her leg. She hisses, swatting your hand away. Poe laughs.
âI have to agree, though,â she says contemplatively. âItâs been forever since weâve been out. How about we go to that bar tonight? Iâll ask Finn, Iâm sure he and Rose would love to come along,â Rey offers, and Poe nods. âAnd,â she adds, grinning. âYou can get to know my wonderful girlfriend.â You blush as she swings an arm around your waist, pulling you close.
âSounds like a plan,â Poe responds. âI canât wait.â
can I pls request 22 + 23 from the holiday prompts for Rey ? also, hella late congrats on 200!! <3
Holiday Season
Rey Skywalker x Reader
summary: rey & the readers first holiday together
request : above
warnings: none! straight fluff!!
AN: i got to this one pretty late, but thank you so much!! i hope you like it! itâs currently 4am and i couldnât sleep, so i though i might as well work on one of my MANY inboxes i gotta get to before the end of the month. hope you have a wonderful holiday & stay safe! <3
Rey was a bit frazzled by the busyness of the holiday season. from an outside point of view, the holidays seemed like a stressless time where people could spend time with their families and enjoy their company. she always admired the overall premise of the holiday season, but always felt as if spending it alone would never do it justice.
that changed the moment when she met you. the overwhelming sense of family filled her senses. the feeling of forever just never seemed to want to go away, and she couldnât have been more ecstatic. you are one of the only constants that she has in her hectic life. So, thatâs how she ended up here. in your shared kitchen, struggling to make the best holiday meal you have ever tasted. She wasnât a horrible cook, but sheâs definitely second guessing every single step she takes.
the two of you decorated your living quarters as clichè as possible under the guise that Rey needs only the best. Rey being the meticulous and curious person she is, she studied everything about the holiday season in grave detail. You found it adorable although she was a bit embarrassed. she insisted on hanging mistletoe above every doorway. I mean you arenât completing, but if she really just wanted to kiss you she couldâve just asked.
anyway, you open the door to see rey with her hair pulled up to a loose bun on the top of her head. a few unconforming stragglers sway to the front of her face from time to time. her tongue has found home poking out the side of her mouth as her brows furrowed in concentration. soft jazz filled the room, instantly making the mood comfortable and relaxing. you remove your shoes and move towards your lover.
slightly frightening her, you wrap your arms around her toned waist and giggle at her reaction.
âhi, baby! whatâs all this?â you ask with a smug smirk on your face. she turns her head and kisses your cheek before turning back to whatever she has on the stove.
âi just wanted to do something special, sâall.â pink starts to kiss her cheeks and neck. you nuzzle your face into the crease of her neck, pressing a gentle kiss.
âcome dance with me.â you snuggle a bit more as you try and pull rey away from the stove.
âwhat?â she turns around and raises her eyebrows. âdarling, you know I can't dance and plus I can't let this burn!â she exclaims while you give her the best puppy dog eyes you could muster.
âit wonât burn if you keep in on low. whatâll 2 minutes max hurt? come on, dance with me.â you plead once more. you know you won she playfully rolls her eyes and gives you that award winning smile.
âfine.â she turns the stove on low and you pull her out to the middle of your living room.
you reach up to hook your arms around her neck as she pulls you in by the waist. you connect your ear to her chest and immediately sigh. you could live like this forever if need be.
âyou really didnât need to go all out for me.â you raise your head to look into her eyes.
âi know, but thatâs what the holidays are all for. i promised myself that once i got a family iâd never let them go. you, y/n, youâre my family.â she looked back down at you with an ever so loving smile.
âi love you, star girl.â you try not to tear up.
âi love you too, darling. now, look up!â you raised your eyebrow at her randomness. you cocked your head back to see a single mistletoe hanging on your ceiling.
âoh look at that, a mistletoe.â rey giggled and you joined.
âjust come here you dork.â you playfully rolled your eyes and kissed the love of your life.
Warnings: spice runner? Fluff. A lot of Poe, sorry
Summery: Poeâs sister comes to visit only to gain a crush on a certain Jedi.
Author: idk how I feel about this was but I hope you like it!
Everyone had their eyes on it, the Red and gold A-Wing that flew over the base. The pilot flying it was skilled and quick, it was probably one of the fastest A-Wings they had ever seen. The only person the resistance knew who could fly like that was Poe Dameron, the Commander, but that wasnât Poe. Finn moved once he had seen enough of the A-Wing, knowing exactly who it was. He ran to Poe who was working on his X-Wing.
âPoe!â He yelled causing the pilot to jump and hit his head on the jet. Finn chuckled and looked at him.
âYou have a visitor.â He said, and about the same time Rey joined them looking at Finn.
âPoe has a visitor?â Rey asked looking at them, Poe looked confused for a moment before hearing the sound of a jet entering the hangar, turning heads, sure enough it was the A-Wing from earlier. The pilot had a helmet on that covered their face, but the tight red and gold leathers told everyone what they were. They left the A-Wing and looked towards the three of them, Poe throwing down his tool ran towards the figure hugging them tightly. The person hugged back just as tight. By the shape of their body Rey could tell it was a women, but she didnât know Poe had a girlfriend.
âHow long have they been together?â Rey asked looking at Finn, but he couldnât help himself and burst out laughing at the comment, having to hold the X-Wing next to him to stand up. Rey couldnât figure out why he was laughing so she chose to ignore it and look back at Poe and the Spice runner.
The helmeted figure looked at poe then over his shoulder at rey, then back to poe. âWhoâs she?â She asked looking down at poe, naturally she was much shorter then him but with the heels of her uniform she almost towered him.
âThatâs Rey, why?â Poe raised his brow crossing his arms. At the same time the Spice Runner unattached her helmet, letting out a soft hiss of air, before it came off her head. Her (y/h/l) (y/h/c) falling out of it beautiful, her skin glowing, her (e/c) eyes shining in the light of the hangar. She was stunning, the laughter of Finn has stopped by now as Rey and (y/n) both looked at each other and whispered to the person next to them.
âSheâs so pretty...â
Both men next to them stopped and looked at them.
âNo, no no no, you canât like herâ Finn said looking at rey.
âYou canât be serious...â Poe said looking at (y/n),
âWhy canât I?â Rey asked looking at Finn.
âOh I am,â the spice runner said looking at the commander.
âThatâs Poeâs sister!â Finn said looking at Rey who looked back in shock.
âWhy is it always my friends?â Poe asked looking at his sister.
âPoe has a sister?â Rey asked looking back at the two pilots.
âStop having beautiful friends, now are you going to introduce me to my future wife?â (Y/n) said pulling her hand on her hip. Poe shook his head.
âShe wonât be into you.â Poe said looking at his younger sister.
âTry me.â She said before walking over towards Rey.
âOh my stars sheâs coming over here...â Rey whispered and Finn shook his head before smiling at the spice runner heâd known for awhile.
â(Y/n)!â Finn said hugging her, she hugged back and fixed his jacket when she pulled away.
âFinn! I missed you!â She said smiling at him, before turning to Rey, being met with the most beautiful smile. âYouâre even prettier up close.â She commented smoothly, Finns mouth dropped open and Poe face palmed, but Reyâs face turn red as roses as she blushed.
âI-Iâm ... wow Iâm sorry I wasnât expecting thatâ Rey stumbled over her own words at she looked at the leather wearing spice runner. âIâm Rey.â She said recovering, only to fall silent again at the dealers reply.
âReally? I thought your name was Angel...â she smirked at her and kissed her hand. â(Y/n), (y/n) Dameron.â Rey smiles at her, showing off her adorable dimples.
âI didnât know Poe had a sister...â
âYou didnât kno-â (y/n) turned looking at her brother. âYour friends donât know you have a sister?!â
âIâm a busy person we donât really talk about my personal life...â
âDo they know you were a spice runner?â She asked looking at Poe.
âYOU WERE A SPICE RUNNER?!â They both yelled at the same time in shock looking at the commander.
âLike you two have room to talk! You were a storm trooper and a scavenger.â Poe quipped back looking at them, crossing his arms in defense. (Y/n) chuckled.
âI thought it was just (y/n), I didnât know this was a a family business!â Finn said looking at them, Rey however still couldnât take her eyes off the younger Dameron.
âOh whatever come on letâs get a drinks.â Poe said.
â
It was late as they sat around a fire, Poe and Finn had already went off to bed, leaving Rey and (y/n), sitting across from each other as the warm glow danced on their faces. Rey was the first to break the silence.
âHave you always been a spice runner?â She asked looking at the girl who now wore much more comfortable clothes.
âFor as long as I can remember...â (y/n) looked up at rey as she played with the fire. âHave you always been a Scavenger?â
âUp until I found the resistance...â Rey said looking at her. âYou know, we could use a pilot like you.â She said as she got up And moved over next to (y/n), her eyes trailing the white dressed girl the whole time. Rey sat down next to the Dameron sister and looked into her eyes.
âIâm not fit for the resistance Rey...â she said looking back at the fire before poking it with a stick.
âWhy not, Poe is a commander and he was a spice runner...â Rey continued trying to sway the beautiful smuggler.
âPoe wasnât as deep into it as I am... itâs all Iâve ever really known.â She looked back at Rey, something sparked between them in that moment of silence, Reyâs hand came down to rest on hers.
âLetâs change that...â her voice was low, quiet and meant for only (y/n)âs ears, âyou could do so great here, and be with Poe and Finn. Youâd be amazingâ she smiled at her. âYou wouldnât have to be scared of where to go and who to talk to... youâd be free.â
(Y/n) looked down at their hands. Pulling in a deep breath as she thought it over. An idea coming to her head that would make them both happy, sheâd probably do it anyways because the resistance is a good idea, but sheâs a Dameron, itâs in her blood to be cocky.
âI have one request...â
âAnything... well not an-â Rey started but was cut off by the spice smuggler.
âWhen this is iver I get to take you out on a date?â (Y/n) asked looking at the now blushing Jedi. Rey chuckled and looked down at the fire this time. Finally speaking up.
Pairing: Rey x Reader
Warnings: workout
A/N: âImagine having a self care day with your comfort character.â
COMFORT CHARACTER MASTERLIST
âCome on. One more lap.â Rey encouraged you while she was barely out of breath next to you. You thought training for the resistance was hard? This was the end boss.
âI need a two hour long break after this.â You wheezed and saw her smile. She SMILED while running her SIXTH lap around the entire compound. You couldnât quite pinpoint if she was just a good bean or a sadist in these moments. You were definitely not enjoying your legs turning into fire.
âAnd weâre done!â She yelled and clapped her hands a couple times.
You dropped right then and there into the soft and dewy grass, right as Finn came out of the compound with a confused face.
âEverything alright?â He asked, looking at Rey and then you on the ground all sweaty.
âYeah, just having a self care day.â Rey smiled and Finn looked down at you with a questioning face.
You put your thumb up, âIâm totally not dying.â
Now he chuckled and helped you stand up, having you fall against him, âOutch.â
âOh, come on. That bad?â He asked as he supported your weight a little better.
âIâm convinced that she likes torturing me.â You whispered and saw his head fall back with laughter.
âSo what are you doing next?â He asked after he had calmed down and the topic had gone to food several times.
âFace masks and journaling.â Rey answered with a bright smile.
âAnd then probably nap for the rest of the day.â You added dryly and they both grinned at you.
âWell then, have fun, ladies.â And gone he was.
The next half hour was spent with showering and massaging your legs into something less painful, before you put on a face mask and sat down together.
There was a comfortable silence in the compound that you were still not used to since winning the war. The only thing occasionally distracting was a droid beep or a door shifting somewhere.
You immersed yourself into stream of consciousness writing on your notebook pages with a pen Rey had brought you from a trip to who-knows-which-planet.
Both of you werenât even bothered when someone entered the room, it was too meditative right now with the post-workout hormones and the silence.
Poe looked at you both a little scared since you both rarely looked serene. He knew both of you as absolute power machines of energy. But then his heart turned a little softer seeing both of you feel comfortable and coping well.
A few beeps got both of you out of journaling to look up at BB-8.
âHi, little bean,â you cooed and pet the droidâs head.
*Whatâs on your face?* You heard him beep.
âItâs something thatâs good for the skin,â you explained to the droid child.
*Looks funny.* You nodded with a smile before looking at the time and standing up to wash it off.

Masterlist
Rey x Reader (Smut)
Warnings: masturbation, and somewhat public
Word Count: 525 (short!)
A soft sigh came out of your mouth that you quickly quieted down, afraid to get caught. It would be completely odd if someone did catch you, especially in the middle of the night, but it still worried you. You hadnât seen your girlfriend, Rey, for over two weeks. You really missed her, and she was supposed to come back today. Even though you would see her soon, you really needed to do something.
Your hand reached to your breasts, pinching one of your nipples. The other hand slipped down lower to your heat as you started to imagine it as Reyâs hand. A finger slowly dipped down further and a somewhat louder came out of your mouth this time that you tried to cover up as a cough.
You shared a room with two other people, seeing as you all were training together. A slight murmur from the other side of the room called out a small âhmm?â to which you didnât respond. It completely terrified you, but you still felt the need to finish. Instead of responding, you continued your actions, now fingers reaching your clit.
You bit down your lips to stop any noise from coming out, as you started to rub even harder. Images of Rey kissing down your neck, and making her way down flashed in your mind. You started going even faster, trying to chase that high, as you started to imagine how Rey would lick and savoir every taste of you.
A loud cough came out of you as you finished up. You glanced over to your roommates, glad they were still asleep. They were deep sleepers usually, and if they did ever know what you did, or what you have been doing, they never spoke up about it. And with a quick action, you hummed out and got up quietly to wash your hands. You looked back to the alarm clock and rolled your eyes at it.
It was only 4:30AM, and you quietly groaned at how slow the hours were going. But you decided to get up and go to the training area early, hoping you could distract yourself for a little longer.
You really didnât expect anyone there, especially Rey.
You ran up to her, excited to see her, calling out a quiet âBabe!â She turned around, smiling back to you. She reached out to you after dropping the stick she was practicing with. She pulled you in a hug, while whispering, âHey babe,â She whispered, holding onto you tighter, smiling bright.
âHow come you didnât come by?â You questioned softly, watching as Rey started to smirk back to you. Your confusion doubled as she brought her hand up to your face, holding the side very lightly. Her thumb delicately placed itself on your lips.
She pulled back for a second, âYou know I can tell what you just did.â Oh fuck. Your eyes widened in shock as you tried stuttering out a reply, but before you could, she spoke up again, âThat was really hot.â
Your shoulders sagged in relief, and with a quick flirty jab back, you winked, âHow about we remake it?â
âSo long as youâre with me, I know Iâll never have to do anything alone.âÂ
Word Count: 2091
Pronunciation: KAL-en. (n.)... the ideal of physical and moral beauty especially as conceived by the philosophers... beauty that is more than skin deep.
Rey really wanted to pound her fist against the ship in her frustration.Â
The Millennium Falcon had accomplished so much throughout its existence- it was the infamous ship that had made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs! It had outrun Imperial starships. Not the local bulk cruisers, of course, but the big Corellian ships. Sleek and uniquely shaped, she was fast enough for anyone.Â
But Rey thought she knew better. Of course, she appreciated the ship for what it was already. Anything that someone put so much effort into working with and creating was something that she could get behind. However, the thought popped into her mind that maybe there was a way to make it better.Â
Just a little rewiring! Maybe a new paint job? Nothing too extreme, of course. The girl would never want to change the entire essence of something with so much value- sentimental or otherwise. Rey preferred keeping the vessel of both her friends memories and her own the same. Safe and secure.Â
But this task was proving to be a tad more difficult than anticipated.Â
It spiraled quickly enough. A little bit of rewiring turned into having to replace certain bits, which turned itself into having to fix an oil leak. How the Falcon hadnât exploded into thousands of little shards was beyond Rey, by this point. It continuously seemed that with every adjustment she made [or attempted to make] morphed into a new problem that mightâve not even been worth it. It didnât help much that that Poe Dameron guy would make a face or a snide comment as he watched her work. He had even made offers to help Rey, which she slapped aside each time.Â
You watched as the girl finally slammed her palms against the side of the thing. With grit teeth and a bit of a huff, a few strands of brown locks fell down as she took a step back. Rey always was a bit of an emotional person, and sometimes her anger and frustration got hard to ignore.Â
You shift against the wall you lean on, eyes glued to her. Rey looks incredibly pretty, however flushed with irritation. Sheâs been at it all day, and the exertion is rising in time with the setting sun. The sky, once a brilliant, bright blue, has faded into pastel shades of tangerine and raspberry and lemon. Itâs warm today, adding to the thin layer of sweat spreading across her shoulders and palms. You were curious to see how her hazel eyes would make themselves appear in the light, but she was turned away from you.Â
âGirls gonna be the death of us,â Poe grumbled as he walked passed you, shaking his head and jabbing his thumb. His expression was one of a âcan you believe her?â.Â
You crane your head over your shoulder to watch the man march away and into the hangar. Youâd be willing to bet that heâs going to complain to General Organa, who will say some sassy words of wisdom in response.Â
When you turn your head back, Rey has her hands on the sides of her hips. She looks the Falcon up and down, her white robes billowing slightly in the summer like wind. Youâre not sure what sheâs going to do next, but youâve observed her enough to know sheâs not exactly a quitter.Â
Your relationship with the Jedi was a bit of a strange one. It wasnât bad by any means. You werenât quite... âfriendsâ, but you werenât really acquaintances either. It was more like the outer circle of friendship, where things are soft and warm but still somewhat mysterious. Rey didnât come to you for things like she would Finn or Leia, and you didnât talk to her nearly as often as Poe or Tallie. But you watched her sometimes out of appreciation and security, wondering if she was aware how beautiful she looked in the light of the sun.Â
It takes a lot of bravery to talk to someone you admire, whether you know them well or not. People would be jealous of all the guts it took for you to push yourself from leaning by the entrance, and starting towards the girl.Â
âNeed help?â you question politely. Rey jumps and turns to you, startled but not upset. âSorry.â
Rey looks at you for only a second before turning back to the ship. Her brown eyes rake up and down, looking at the exposed wires and vents and all the bits sheâd happened to destroy. âNo, no. I donât think so,â Rey decides to say with a sigh.Â
âYou sure?â you say, turning to look at the structure ahead of you as well. âI mean, not to brag, but I think I know a lot about YT Leight Freighters.â
This draws a flash of a smile from her. She feels the stress and annoyance of working at the ship all day sinking away slowly with the light bit of humor. She looks down at her feet before squinting her eyes in the sunlight. âCan you toss me that Hydrospanner?â she says, pointing to the ground by your feet.Â
You bend down and pick it up right away from the cluster of tools, tossing it to her. As she catches it sloppily and turns it over in her palms, she scoffs in that way that people do to show a kind form of surprise. âFinn can never do that right.â
Your eyebrows furrow slightly. âFind a tool?â
Rey looks up at you, smiling. âYouâd be surprised.â
You grin softly at each other in the light, the Falcon casting dim shadows across the place but not diminishing the warmth that you felt. The nervousness in your stomach was ever present, and you were somewhat afraid of saying something wrong with her.Â
âSo are you going to make any adjustments to the inside?â you ask, peeling your eyes from hers and admiring the bulk of the famous ship. You can see all the little divots and scratches embedded in the metal, each one telling a story. You can see why she wouldâve wanted to keep reparations to a minimum.Â
Rey strains as she goes to tighten a screw on her tip-toes. Her brow furrows and a bead of sweat appears on the right. âNo, I donât think so. Not yet, at least.âÂ
You nod in understanding. âAlways wanted to be a pilot,â you muttered, half to yourself.Â
Rey squinted over at you, detaching her tool from the bolt and watching your expression change to one of awe. Everything you guys said to each other had always been polite and small, only urgent once or twice. You knew each other, knew of each other, but not in the way that she knew others. It wasnât quite as intimate or personal as her relationship with others, but Rey liked your presence fine enough. It shocked the pit of her tummy to hear you say something that sounded so personal.Â
âWell, arenât you?â she questioned.Â
You scoffed a little dryly, and Rey knew you were about to sell yourself short. âPiloting an X-Wing isnât much of the same as piloting a Falcon.â
âI wouldnât put it past you,â Rey said kindly. She watched you turn to her with the glint of joy in your eyes, dissecting her words. âPass me that towel?â
âYeah,â you said quickly. Again, you picked a rag smeared with dirt and grime from the ground and passed it to her. âAre you going to be here all day?â
Rey rung the towel around her sweaty hands, attempting to soothe the perspiration into the skin instead of wiping it away. She had been, in all honesty. She liked working with her hands, especially when it was on something as grand and legendary as the Millennium Falcon. It reminded her of something she knew was real and tangible, no matter how many bad memories her hands tied to her old life.Â
âNo,â she said, even though it hurt a bit to say.Â
You bit your lip for a second, giving time for her lie to sink in before speaking again. âI meant do you want me to stay all day?â
Rey looks over at you again, her head moving fast. Her big, doe eyes are looking at you like youâve said the kindest thing in the world, trying to detect if you mean it. You do.Â
âYeah,â she says, hoarse but with smile. She nods her head vigorously, strands of hair bouncing up and down. âYeah.â
You stayed with her for the next hour or so, standing out against the setting sun and the distant view of fern green trees. Rey payed attention to every one of your polite words, each one an offering. She offered what she could back as she weaved and fumbled.Â
You got to see her hands in action, and you were surprised you hadnât appreciated them before. To be fair, this interaction was probably the closest youâd been to her. But Reyâs fingers were slim and strong and nimble, and they twisted wires like braids. The metal panels of the ship seemed to bend to her will. You knew she was worth all the time youâd spent observing her beauty.Â
âDo you think any of this will actually mean anything?â you asked at the end of the day. The sky had turned purple and orange by now, with the sun disappearing beyond the horizon. Most of the soldiers and pilots and workers outside had turned in for the night, and Reyâs palms had begun pink and rough from the work.Â
You lean your head back against the ship, which is a little uncomfortable, but fatigue has somewhat dulled your senses by now. Your locks matted in the back as it pressed against the metal. You had a knot tying itself up in your lower back, while Rey had one forming in her upper. âWhat do you mean?â she questioned, shutting a panel for the time being.Â
âJust... the Rebellion,â you admitted. Your eyes flitted around. Rey could see the reflection of the rising moon in your pupils, even from the side. âThe Resistance. What if it doesnât actually do anything.â
Rey admired your profile, appreciating the look of your skin. She could see the exact shape of your jaw, the chapped nature of your lips and the length of your lashes. Sweat had begun to form against your skin from the humidity of the system, but it didnât look stinky or unwelcome.Â
She doesnât know much about you still, but she likes your presence now. Against the noise of the galaxy, your conversation is quiet and soft, and not nearly as abrasive and demanding as others around her. Rey closes her lips. Her eyes soften more and more, melting into the soothing aura of your presence.Â
âItâll mean something,â she says, nodding her head like a promise.Â
You turn your head to look at Rey, meeting her hazel eyes. âYeah,â you say in turn. âItâll mean something.â Though youâre not talking about the Resistance now.Â
Youâre talking about Rey, who youâve found incredibly beautiful since the moment you saw her. Strong and fierce, she had a fire that reminded you of all the things in life you loved. And maybe one day, you could tell her that. But for the moment, all you can do is exchange a genuine smile with her, the light of everything else in the world fading away until her and the Millennium Falcon are the only things that remain.Â
âWould you ever want to...â
You turn back to Rey as you walk, watching her wipe her hands across her pants like its a smock. Dirt and oil smears across them, but you know she doesnât mind. The girl has already had enough experiences to become accustomed to a little dirt.Â
âYeah?â you ask, the moon rising higher into the lavender canvas above.Â
Rey feels nervous, and sheâs inwardly cursing at herself for not being able to stop her voice from slipping out. âIf youâd ever like to fly the Falcon with me,â she explains. âI just mean...â
You look down, then back up between the girl and the large, infamous ship. âThank you, Rey.âÂ
Youâd agree the next day, on the condition that it meant something.Â

I donât like the sequels very much, but somebody wanted Rey and I delivered. I like writing for girl characters, to be honest. A lot of the sequel characters are a bit difficult to do because I donât think a lot of them have to much of like... personalities? But I tried to stay true to what I think Rey might say. Iâd appreciate feedback if i was alright with her character though! itâs important that I keep them in character
Request: hello darling! i hope your doing ok. would you be comfortable with writing rey (star wars) x female reader (if your comfortable, iâm not going to force you to write anything your not comfortable with) where the reader has really bad nightmares and Rey just comforts her? â¤ď¸â¤ď¸Â
Of course love, this is so sweet! And as someone who used to constantly have nightmares, itâs extra nice to write <3
Comments are much appreciated!
You wish you didnât dream about him as often as you did. Although it hurt you to think, some part of you, deep down, was just waiting its time until he lived tucked up in the back of your mind, broken into only for a fond memory or forgotten whispers.
Waking up, you know that the dream will have been the same as the night before, the harsher version of the thoughts your mind reenactments for you in fragments during the day. The same dream youâve been having for the last seven days. Cosmos, had it really been a week already? Instead of relief on waking up, you get the trauma made fresh and raw again and again, like life itself was a never ending nightmare.Â
You get to see Chewieâs roaring scream as he stands there in shock and agony, your brother gripping back onto the lightsaber as he pushes the body of your father off the edge of the platform, his eyes unseeing and face scaringly calm, floating down into the infinite darkness like a sack of bricks. How tormented Ben had seemed at seventeen, the last time youâd seen him, how young and hopeful that seems now. Yet, no matter how many times the nightmare comes, you subconsciously welcome it the next time again, because the beginning is the only time you will ever be with him, hear his pleading words and bask in the warmth of his familiarity as he begged for you to leave.
Although you hadnât known it then, it was his way of saying goodbye. You, however, werenât ready to say goodbye yet.
Gasping for air, you barely notice your hands clawing into the skin around your throat as you sit up in bed. Rey, thankfully, was still asleep. You just sat there for a moment, next to the woman you loved more than anything in the galaxy, trying not to cry in the groggy state that occurs after being woken from a deep sleep. She lay under the stars, which were like a beautiful, surreal blanket above your heads. You could feel his heartbeat softly in the force, and could hear the soft breaths of her by your side. You basked in the comfort she brought you, the way the curl on her forehead rose and fall with her chest. The way she slept on her front, one arm under the pillow and the other hanging precariously off the side of her bed, touching her stick, always ready for a fight. You were still mystified, at the fact she was lying here next to you, and at the lack of motion and the growing presence of complete silence of the Millenium Falcon.
Clenching your eyes shut, you tried to make as little noise as possible as you threw your blankets off your sweaty legs, but it was enough to wake her.
âWhat is it? Y/n, whatâs going on? Are you okay? Are we under attack - have the First Order found us?â, she gasped, grabbing onto her stick and sitting up straight, sleep crusting her eyes.
She rubbed it off slowly as you sighed. âNo. Rey, weâre okay. Iâm sorry sunshine, I didnât mean to wake you up.â
âAnother nightmareâ, she asks, pulling her feet up towards her chest.
â...Another nightmare.â
âYou know, I want you to wake me up when these happen. I can help you, Y/n. Thatâs what Iâm here for.â
âI know - itâs just, I wish I could stop seeing him like that. Hans. I wish I could choose the most perfect memory of him and cling to it. I want to remember when I was five, and I couldnât sleep, and so heâd come into this room right here and sit me in his lap, telling me stories about rebels and Skywalkers and Death Stars until mom came in and told him off. I want to remember that moment, and the person he should have been, would have been, had it not been for Ben.â
âI know you want to remember your father, Y/n. But he was a brave man, and at least you had him, even if for a little while. But right now, I need you here, with me, because Iâm not leaving you. Come here, be here with me now.â
Reyâs reached out, her hold around your waist tightening as she pulled you closer, resting her chin on the top of your head. You quite happily buried your head into his neck as she gently stroked your back.Â
There was kindness in her smile, as he glanced down at you, a gentleness. It was the smile of one who laughed with ease despite all her struggled, a kind of soul-connector. She was the kind of person who lived how she believed people should, as if she were sunshine that only radiated from the best aspects of those she met, their flaws entirely invisible to her gaze; she was a new bud in a sand storm.
âThank you, sunshine. For being here.â
As soon as the last syllable escaped your lips, you find yourself interlocked in a kiss. The tender touch you share makes the space around the two of you disappear. There isnât anything else in the galaxy except the burning flame of your love making you feel as if everything else would be okay.
âNow come on, back under the duvet. We have a long day of training ahead, and Leia wonât be happy if I bring you out knackered.â
