Rex J. Walheim is attached to the station's robotic arm during the first of two STS-110 spacewalks. The crew mechanically attached and powered up a new truss and spent 1 week in joint operations with the station Expedition 4 crew. This spacewalk was the first time the station robotic arm was ever used to maneuver spacewalkers around the station. During this mission Walheim performed two EVAs totaling 14 hours and 5 minutes.
