“I feel like a poodle in a dog show,” Phineas chuckled as Phillip’s hands straightened his back. He had asked to be taught the basics of ballroom dance. With how well-known the circus was becoming, he figured it was only a matter of time before he’d have to dance at a party or some other function. No one had ever taught him, and he wanted to leave a good impression.
So it was that Phineas found himself alone in his one-man flat with Phillip, all the furniture pushed against the walls to give them enough room, while the younger man taught him the proper posture. Both of them were dressed only in their shirts, trousers, and shoes, to make movement a little easier. Phineas honestly appreciated that - his flat was poorly insulated - as well as Phillip’s willingness to teach him.
Truth be told, he also rather liked that he could enjoy the other man’s presence, attention, and touch without distraction or anxiety, even just for a little while. Phineas wasn’t sure if he could say anything like that aloud, though. It didn’t feel fair to push his own feelings onto Phillip before finding out if they might be reciprocated.
