I rewrote Miko and proceeded to write 8 paragraphs about her character and her character specifically + what I would change about her character and things I added to her character, the following is a summary of one of my insane writings, some of these will change in the near future if I feel like doing so.
Backstory:
• doesn't have a good relationship with her parents, in the past they were incredibly hard on her and they werent satisfied with her regardless of what she did to appease them.
• her going to a school in a completely different country was meant to be a punishment as they wanted her to feel what it was like to be stranded somewhere with people she didn't understand.
• Luckily she managed to pick up English pretty quickly but the stress that she was placed under during this time led her to become enraged and her host parents are scared of her because she lashed out at them after bottling her internal feelings for so long.
• With quite literally no authority figure in her life looming above her head anymore, she considered herself to be free and proceeded to do whatever the hell she wanted.
• When she first arrived at school she was initially made fun of for how poorly she spoke English, but even as she got better the students began to find new things to make fun of her for, like the way she dresses, they perceived her outgoing personality to be annoying and she unfortunately did become a target
• Watching media she loved and blasting music into her ears was the only way she could cope with not having anyone.
• an idea I was a bit iffy about and its so beyond Canon divergence is insane but the idea that throughout this time she had one friend, though it was an online friend she spoke to. I might expand on this further if more people inquire about it but as of right now its staying in the rough drafts
• Basically had to learn to toughen up because of school and stopped caring about her assignments because in her mind she thought there were better things to do that sit around for the majority of her time answering useless questions.
•Having zero authority figures in her life made her a rebel and start doing things that may or may not be considered really illegal. Encouraging her sheer will and utter disregard for others especially herself outside of surface things.
Anyway this concludes her rewritten backstory that I made through grasping at straws and purely headcanons.
I hope I didn't make her too unrecognizable to the point where she isn't the same character anymore.
