Szene aus der Ungarischen Revolution Ulanen / “Scene from the Hungarian Revolution Ulhan”
Alexander Von Bensa (Austrian, 1820–1902)
Nothing radicalizes me into marxism-leninism more than reading about the revolutions of 1830 and 1848 and seeing how close most of them came to success before ultimately falling to strategic error. Genuinely if all those revolutionaries just knew to make a vanguard party 80% of europe would be people's republics by now.
In fact I think this is a big part of what radicalized Lenin himself.
A reminder that Karl Marx was a strong supporter of democracy and freedom!
