Modernism
Modernism is constant innovation, it is characterised by certain things. Modernism loves novelty and it is a form of progress, after all progress is everything.Â
Modernism is described as the art of the new, the modern and the constant innovation. It is important to remember that there's no modernist style and it is not considered as a style but a loose collection of ideas.

Have just finished "Fade to Bkack" by Tim McBain and L.T. Vargus. I'll go ahead and say that this one definitely kept my attention until I finally completed it! First off, the story is fascinating. You have a 27 year-old slacker who mysteriously begins having seizures, and during those seizures, he has these dreams, or visions even, that keep recurring. Everytime he tries something different to figure out what the purpose is, and usually fails miserably. He meets a few new friends and tries to keep his "I hate the world, so just leave me alone attitude", but said new friends just won't let him. The mystery deepens as the story unfolds, containing some cults, tarot, and missing people. Very interesting! Even leaves you with a cliff hanger! The characters were very well developed and stayed consistent through out the entire story. No problems there. The humor this books contains is off the chart for me... now granted there is quite a bit of foul language and as I've said before, this doesn't bother me a bit. Maybe not your cup of tea if it does. But, funny just doesn't do it justice. This book literally had me laughing out loud from the first chapter. Jeff's attitude and witty sarcasticness is my kind of humor. The only problem I even had just a tiny bit with this book, was some of the word flow. It wasn't bad by any means, but every now and then I found a section or two that just sounded... weird. But it still does nothing to take away from this very interesting book! All in all, I'll give "Fade to Black" by Tim McBain and L.T. Vargus a.... (where's my drum roll people!?!) 4.0 out of 5.0!!! Foul language not you thing? Then maybe not for you. Don't care? Then definitely give this one a go! Great job by Tim McBain and L.T. Vargus! Looking forward to the next one!
Ok... So I just finished "Down and Out" by Kelley R. Martin, and can I just say that I was not disappointed I purchased this book.
I will say that if you don't like alpha males, have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor, and foul language offends you, then this is not the book for you.
I loved the way the characters developed throughout, and although I'm not a fan of 1st person point of view, this one was done spectacularly well. You really got into the characters heads and the thoughts these two had kept me laughing.
There are a few slow parts throughout, but what book doesn't have them. You wouldn't be so excited to get to the next "exciting" part if it was like that through and through, but it would still make for a good read.
The only thing that I wasn't quite thrilled about, was the ending. And of course, I won't go into detail with it because I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say that it was absolutely predictable and I saw it coming a mile away. That being said, it still didn't take anything away from this amazing book.
The "naughty" were sexy and steamy as well, keeping me on the edge of my seat and ready for more!
All in all, I give "Down and Out" by Kelley R. Martin, a ... (DRUM ROLL PLEASE...) a whopping 4.5 out of 5.0! I would most definitely recommend this book to everyone! In fact, I already have!
Great job by Kelley R. Martin. I'm looking forward to reading more from her!
