#reverse mega bang

That's right, the team that brought you the Detroit: Become Human Big Bang 2023, 2024, and 2025 is back again, presenting....

Yes, you read that correctly, this year we will be hosting a Reverse Big Bang with a stretch goal of a Mega Bang.

In accordance with tradition, 2026 will be the year of the Reverse Big Bang, and this year, we offer the stretch goal of a Reverse Mega Bang to all teams that think they have it in them!

The rules this year are very simple:

We will be opening sign ups for both artists and writers on March 9th, and they will close April 6th, giving you four weeks to get your name down!

And yet again this year, we are hosting a Big Bang!

Not just a Big Bang, but a Reverse Big Bang, with the option of upgrading to a Mega Bang!

What's a Bang?

A Big Bang, or Reverse Bang is a fandom event that pairs writers and artist to produce works of fanart and accompanying fic, or vice versa! If you're an artist, a writer, a beta reader, a cheerleader, or just a fan, there's a place for you here!

The rules are very simple:

That's right, sign ups are now open! Whether you're an artist or a writer, this is the form you're looking for!

GENERAL EVENT RULES

You must be over 18 by May 18, 2026 to participate.

You must be a member of the DBH Bang Events Discord. This is so that we can ping you about claims, check-ins, and other important information. Please don’t mute notifications while the Bang is running.

Participants are capped at 3 teams total, and may sign up for a maximum of 2 arts or 2 fics.

This is a Reverse Bang Artists submit a concept sketch and brief description of what they envision for the story. Writers submit a list of the concepts they want to write for. Everyone receives at least one match.

Minimum requirements for the RBB: One (1) finished artwork 10,000 words

Mega Bang Stretch Goals this year: Three (3) finished artworks 30,000 words Both of these must be achieved for the team to meet the stretch goal; any team can push for this without needing to formally sign up!

Check-ins are required – see our schedule – and failure to check in without letting the mods know will result in mod action.
