Why The Diamonds Haven't Gotten Their Redemption Arc, Probably
It'll probably happen in season 6. The fact that the diamonds aren't , including a multitude of reasons like the open chest in lions mane, pink pearl, jasper and much more is why I think that season 6, or at least parts of it will take time between Change Your Mind and The Movie. Also, just because the diamonds haven't gotten a redemption arc right now, even though they are "redeemed", that doesn't mean we won't get one. Animation takes time, and people really should stop hurrying this on so much. It was the exact same thing after Reunited. One clip of the diamonds being nice and bam theyre redeemed without a good redemption arc, boooo. People do the exact same thing in other fandoms too, for example Chloe in Miraculous Ladybug. She did one good thing and people where complaining all over about how bad this was and how Chloe didn't get a redemption arc, she just turned good because she got to use a Miraculous and didn't bully Marinette for once.
Like, have some faith in the creators okay? Given how well Peridot's redemption was handled, how well Bismuth's redemption was handled, even Pink Diamond's/Rose Quartz's reversed redemption arc (we first saw her as all good bc she was good or at least better towards the end of her life, but started bad), do you really think the crewniverse would just leave their biggest villians, who has literally been foreshadowed towards since the show started, without a proper redemption arc?
No, it really doesn't sound reasonable to throw away years of work when this probably was the plan all along (not specifically, but them being redeemed at least).
Of course, I could be wrong but please wait for season 6 before you start raging at this, okay?
