First, let me thank everybody for their input... (and NOT in the BBC!Sherlockian mode). It’s been very useful.  :)

So I’m going, not with the theme that was going to mess with my post titles, but with a different one that also looks a little Out-of-Ambit-ish. Let’s see how it looks in place.

I’ll be doing under-the-hood tinkering over the course of the day, every now and then (as this is still also a work day), so don’t be surprised if the sidebar gets a bit loopy and things appear and disappear without warning.

So in the Saga of the New Theme: it’s not displaying ask posts correctly. Which annoys me. I’ll be taking it up with the developer momentarily.

Meanwhile most other things are falling into place gradually. The navigation is still screwed up. Once the ask post problem is solved, I’ll hack the HTML as necessary to put it where I want it.
