Photo one is my running shoes presently.
Photo 2 is when I got them nearly 6 years ago! 😂
Some say 5/6 years is too long for one pair of running shoes, I agree.

Update.
So I’ve went out for my final run of Week 3 yesterday and it was successful, and was planning on attempting Week 4 today, with the caveat of preparing that it might be too much as I started at Week 3 rather than 1.
But I didn’t. I’m a teacher and work took priority today. We are creating online work, physical learning packs and in constant communication about the shit show that is the government plans RE: schools wider opening.
I’ve also had my arse kicked by my period today. I get crazy headaches and bad period pain - and although exercise can help my cramps they do nothing to help (they actually hinder greatly) my headaches. Plus I’m always nervous a headache will develop into a migraine as I’m fairly prone to those.
I should be getting my new trainers tomorrow! I really *really* hope that one pair fit (I got two sizes as I’m having to order without trying them on!) I could do with a boost!
Went for a run (aka shuffle) yesterday!
It’s week 4 of couch to 5K, so part of this is walking, and part is shuffling!
Some more nature shouts from my little shuffle
Today.
3 and 5 minute runs.
Last 5 was a biiiiitch. I think it was partly cause I didn’t know where to go for that bit so was a bit like ‘eerrr where am I going I still have 3 minutes left’.
C’mon fitness. Come back.

Running Goals:
Short Term Goal: (Will be updated as I reach goals)
Run for 10 Minutes/1K without stopping.
Long Term “Feels Attainable Eventually” Goal:
Get back to running 5K without stopping.
End “Feels Unattainable” Goal:
Find a longer run event or other physical challenge to raise money for my Aunt to get an electric wheelchair.
This are what my general goals are. I’m only going to focus on the short term goals at the moment. But it’s good to just put your hold out there.
Non running - I do want to lose weight because I know that when I was running before and I was lighter it was much better for my knees and hips! And I have pretty big issues with both of those. And it does make it a little easier generally to move and be active. But I’m trying to not make this the main goal. This is secondary. I want to be fit, strong and healthy.
Shock horror I haven’t run in a few days.
I’ve got some serious guilt but I’m trying to process that in a good way rather than beating myself up or it becomes such a big issue.
It’s my birthday tomorrow - I’ve been baking a cake today and sorting bits and I’ve been at work the day before and it’s just been a little busy.
I’m seeing my partner and moving into his for a while Saturday but by Monday/Tuesday I will be back on it with food and running. A few days off isn’t going to take me back to stage one.
Sunset but warm out ☀️🌳
