If you ever forget that representation is important, lemme tell ya I damn near cried the first time I saw a ginger Barbie
And I’m already white with blue eyes
seeing yourself in characters and media is important

Sheith peeps
Listen, I'm not saying you don't have plenty of cause to be optimistic . But if you ever get Canon Sheith I am certain, certain that it's going to be oblique and subtext.
Moreover, while I like the ship, and representation, the show is not a Romance.
Ultimately, they're also going to be constrained by studio demands. If you pay attention, the break up between Adam and Shiro was actually in a common room rather than their quarters, although you have to pay attention to see it. I'm certain that this is because they were told that Adam and Shiro could be gay, but that being alone in shared quarters was too intimate.
If Sheith gets confirmed, and again I stress it's an if, it will be via meaningful dialogue or an embrace, or something subtle that occurring in the background. Don't go expecting a kiss.
For what it's worth, my husband, who is very much a non shipper, also believes that they're going for Sheith, but in the most subtle way possible.
He told me that he thinks Krolia's "thank you for raising him" line was essentially of safetynet of sorts.
Personally, if Keith and Shiro embraced one more time, and Keith softly said "Takashi" that would be enough for me.
Undertale Spoilers (but also a bi character)
So this is pretty random but in Mettaton's quiz the correct answer to "who is Alphys's crush" (or whatever) is Asgore and Alphys says herself that she had a crush on Asgore later during the pacifist ending but eventually she got together with Undyne so my point is *deep breath* ALPHYS IS BI AND THAT MEANS A LOT TO ME!

Unintentional Awesome
Unintended Movie themes with JellyBean this weekend: - Mother and Daughter (watched Brave and The Little Prince for the first time) - Strong young women (The Secret World of Arrietty, Brave, The Little Prince, and Okja) Very good times!
The Little Prince was just amazing, especially the mother- she isn’t just a ‘bad parent’ or a ‘downer’ or an ‘oppressive adult,’ the character was created, styled, and brought to life as a parent who has a lot of love, but that love is smothered by anxieties. She’s a good parent and her goal is to raise a good person. Unfortunately, pursuing that goal seems to call for her to be at work all the time, for her daughter to get into a prestigious academy, and for her daughter to study non-stop to be worthy of Werth Academie (this made smile, though sadly).
I like that the movie doesn’t vilify the mother, instead there seems to a gentle ‘I know you are trying to do the right thing, but you don’t seem to see the pain it’s causing. I think it’s very difficult for parents to figure out the ‘best’ thing to do, and while awful parents do exist, there are a lot of parents are just trying to find, puzzle out, and follow the ‘best’ Formula for Raising a Great Human. (Even though, there is no foolproof formula and there are way too many variables and sometimes you have to just take a deep breath and realise that you are going to mess things up from time to time)
BTWs, “Okja” is a great film but there may be some younger viewers who find some scenes disturbing and there like a bucket of F-bombs in it. I forgot about the first one and then I thought the first one was the only one... but it was fine with JellyBean but I still feel I should mention it for other caretakers)
Tonight I introduced some of the @clexacomic team to a lesbian power couple that should rival Clexa in following and deserve their due after decades of being around.
Phyla-Vell and Moondragon are two characters from Marvel’s cosmic line of comics.
Phyla-Vell (the one in red) is the daughter of the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell. Also known as Quasar and once a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy she is an incredibly powerful being and the protector of the Universe.
Moondragon is the daughter of Drax (yes the one from the movie) and was also once a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy at one point is a powerful telepath & telekinetic and a master of martial arts taught to her on Saturn’s moon of Titan, she also has a dragon form. She specifically has been around since the 70s and has also been a member of the Avengers and the Infinity Watch.
For maximum time spent with these two as a couple I suggest reading Marvel’s cosmic event known as Annihilation: Conquest (2007-2008) followed by Guardians of the Galaxy (2008-2010) both written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning.
