Love huddle at the castle at Beynac last week--just taking a moment to reflect on the all the sweet moments of connection, kindness and generosity of spirit that were part of our trip. After years of travel I often find my fondest memories aren't the epic photos, but rather the gentle and quiet moments with nature and with each other. I so loved getting to know every beautiful human in this photo in a new way. We witnessed each other throughout the week, in a variety of settings and circumstances, and I know I am a wiser and better person for it. So grateful to have had the opportunity. Outdoor yoga anyone? I've always loved practicing outside--somehow it just feels a little closer to yoga's roots. The feeling of the breeze on my skin in sivasana, the smell of spring flowers in the air, just feeling so connected to the natural world and to my own body in it. Ever dreamed of riding a bike through the winding streets of a tiny French village? I've done it once, in the Loire Valley--it's hard to explain how a sense of timelessness arrives when you weren't even looking, and for a little while you feel the connectedness of lives from other decades, even other centuries. It made me hopeful, this almost physical awareness of the continuation of hopes and dreams, lives spent in work and play, in love and time in the sun.
