random gripe of the day: Kenzo Takada's work is INFURIATINGLY under-represented in museum collections.
I'm going to chalk it up to the fact that he was doing ready-to-wear instead of haute couture, but he brought the exotic, eccentric, and avant-garde to ready-to-wear fashion, and was tremendously influential. His work is so fun and so colorful and so wonderful, why isn't there more of it in museums?!
