Yes it is absolutely ok to send in a nivanfield ask!! I've never written for them before so I hope what I've written for you is good! I did it post resi6 and Piers survives somehow! It's not long and I'm sorry! 🙇🏼‍♀️

TW: slight angst but fluffy at the end.

     Chris rushed down the long hallway that lead to his room. Piers' room. He was told he survived and he was anxious to see if it were true. He didn't want to get his hopes up. Didn't want to have his heartbroken again. Part of him was upset that he would sacrifice himself so readily, but the other part of him fell in love with Piers even more.

     Chris had even ditched the BSAA's ceremony where he was set to receive an award for his heroic services. He didn't care about that. He only cared about seeing Piers again.

      He inhaled nervously, hand on the knob, calming his anxiety before entering slowly. Steady beeping sounded from the monitors, his body laying still, bandages covering the severe burns he'd received, but there he was. Alive. Breathing. Still here. Chris closed the distance between him and the bed, gingerly taking Piers' hand in his.

      "They tell me you may never wake up...the injuries were too severe. But…" Chris paused, lifting Piers' hand to his mouth, placing his lips on the sparse flesh he could see. "I need you to come back to me." Chris' voice was so quiet, trying to will Piers to wake up. "If you can hear me...please squeeze my hand." Nothing. Chris's shoulders hunched in defeat, his thumb running along the back of Piers' hand.

      Suddenly, a slight amount of movement was felt, then Piers' hand closed around Chris', and he looked up to Piers' face to see his hazel orbs regarding him in both love and confusion. Chris leaned up and stroked along the bandages at his forehead, tears swimming in his eyes.

       "Hey there, welcome back." Piers looked around the room, before groaning slightly.  "Easy, you're really hurt."

       "What happened?" Piers' voice was dry and dusty from disuse and Chris looked around for some water, but had to get a cup and get water from the sink nearby.

       "You survived. I'm not sure how, but you did. And I'm glad. I don't know what I was going to do without you in my life." Piers took a sip of the offered water before scoffing.

       "You would do what you always do. Save the world." Chris shook his head, leaning down to place a gentle, chaste kiss on his lips and Piers eyes fluttered shut, accepting and melting into it. 

       "My world would have been too dark with out you here." Chris admits, laying his forehead on Piers'. "I love you."

I may have gotten distracted in my resi6 playthrough hahaha
