me, working in Excel: How the fuck??? Why is 9 an option? There's not a single 9 in that entire column of data! my supervisor, after looking through the sheet: I don't know. It doesn't show up on my end. But the heat maps are correct, so it's fine. supervisor, a while later: Yeah, that's really weird. I looked through it manually and definitely no 9s. *shrugs* Excel demon magic, I guess. me: Cool, great. By the way, half of my bar graphs turned invisible. They're still there, I just can't see them unless I try to replace them. supervisor: well, that's odd. me: yep. *sigh* Excel demon magic indeed.

Me, a social scientist who does research with human subjects: Where are your signed consent forms? What documents and information were people given before the procedure? Do all of you have ethics training? Is there documentation of that? Can I observe the informed consent process to confirm that everything is being done ethically?

I'll get my final checks in the new year and hope I pass this time. :/

So yeah. I was a shit student. But, on the plus side, my pre-reading notes provided enough of an idea to confirm that seminar 7 was the one I was thinking of. Now I just need to re-read the source material to refresh myself.

At least I can now move on, and keep this thesis rolling.
