Yesterday was the piglets’ fourth birthday, and these three are worth celebrating every single day! We are eternally grateful to their brave mother, Rita, who jumped from a speeding truck on the way to slaughter and saved the lives of all her unborn babies. Slaughtering pregnant mothers is not at all uncommon in animal agriculture, and the babies are either used for classroom dissection or the softest type of leather. In honor of their birthday, please make a choice to see pigs as #friendsnotfood. Your tastebuds are not as important as their lives, and there are so many great plant-based alternatives out there!
