Oblivious sanji with zolusan where he doesn't know he's dating Zoro and Luffy.
They ask him to go to dinner with them and Sanji thinks "ah yes they wold need help picking a good romantic restaurant" he doesn't even blink when they expect him to stay because it's a french restaurant and it's probably good for him to stay and help them order.
Zoro brings him flowers and Sanji says they're lovely and immediately suggest some sweet edible flowers for Luffy he should get instead. To Sanji Zoro his running his gifts ideas by him, to Zoro Sanji is being super sweet thinking about their boyfriend when he gets a present.
They save a town and Luffy is using his reward to pick jewellery for his boyfriends and takes Sanji to help him chose. Sanji is convinced the necklace he got is a reward for helping Luffy, meanwhile Luffy his over the moon Sanji picked a necklace with a red and a green stone for himself.
Sanji is actually really happy to help because he is in love with them both and it fell nice to still be included even if he can't be with them.
They are on a picnic a few months in when Sanji says "I know that you need help planning stuff but it's it a bit much to bring me on your dates, I mean I don't mind but aren't you sick of me third welling all the time?"
That’s so funny actually. And on brand for my Sanjis. Like the man is denser than a neutron star. It doesn’t help that Luffy and Zoro are under the assumption Sanji knows they’re dating him and vice versa. I’d like to also think it takes the rest of the crew a while to notice the misunderstanding but no one is listening to them.
Like yeah, Zoro and Luffy ask him about restaurants and Sanji takes them to a few and ends up eating with them. He doesn’t think anything of it at first. He’s getting a bit concerned whenever he tries to leave after showing them and then getting asked his opinions. He gives them. They’re weirdly observant about what he says. Especially when they start commenting on spices and ingredients. Sanji squints at them like they’ve been replaced with pod people.
Zoro will bring flowers and plants he painstakingly picked and arranged for the cook and Sanji pulls out the edible ones and mentions putting them on desserts for the crew and Luffy who doesn’t pick around them like the ladies do. Zoro’s heart warms whenever Sanji does this. One time he accidently didn’t grab any edible ones and Sanji gives a list from the top of his head and it’s so sweet he’s thinking of Luffy whenever Zoro brings them to him.
Luffy is picking through jewelry after saving some town and Sanji shows him what he got. There’s a red and green stone on the necklace and Luffy isn’t even paying attention to what Sanji is saying he’s just so happy the stones are red and green and the chain looks like a rope they use on ship. He’s so excited he goes and tells Zoro who demands to see and Sanji is utterly confused when he shows it to him. Then Sanji goes to cook dinner and stuff and Luffy and Zoro keep trying to get him to not clean and come to their room which Sanji waves off heavily. Chores need done, idiots.
Zoro and Luffy tell him about a picnic and he makes them a basket to take on the trip and then is promptly dragged along. He didn’t make enough for all three of them. Sanji thought he would be free of the third wheeling today and should have realized he wouldn’t be as he hikes with them to whatever place Luffy found. Sanji tries to leave before the food is pulled out and is arguing with them until they notice that he didn’t actually make enough for all of them.
“Aren’t you guys tired of me always being here on your date? It’s your date!” Sanji yells at them, waving his arms at them.
“It’s our date.” Luffy tells him.
“Yes, your date.” Sanji says as he looks at them.
“No, our date. Cook, it’s yours too.” Zoro says. Sanji blinks at him.
“What do you mean I’m involved?” Sanji asks as he narrows his eyes at them.
“Yeah, we’ve been all dating for months.” Zoro tells him, his single eye narrowing back. They have a stare off while Luffy eats his pirate bento looking at them.
“So we aren’t dating? Or are we? Nami said we had to dumb it down for you but after you got that necklace I thought we all were.” Luffy says. “She said you don’t think people like you a lot.” Sanji gapes at his captain while Zoro nods affirming the rubberman.
“You’re really weird about touch too.” Zoro adds on. Sanji looks up to the sky, then down to grab and light a cigarette.
"None of us will live this down, you understand that. Right?” The blond asks them. Zoro and Luffy blinking back at him with confusion. “You never asked or told me that I was going on dates with you idiots.” That makes Zoro move to argue while Luffy keeps eating, a contemplative look on his face.
“So we can all sleep in my room tonight?” Luffy asks.
“Yeah, sure. Why not.” Sanji sighs. With that they go to eat a proper lunch for them all while the crew pays out several bets. Nami once again reminding Luffy and Zoro about Sanji’s tendencies while the cook stares into the midde distance as Robin tries to assure him it’s alright.
Sanji misses breakfast the next morning, Jimbe is counting stacks of beri gleefully.
