Posting a couple of sketches I wasn't super happy with and want to redraw at one point. I wanted to draw Heavy x Medic again for nostalgic purposes. I missed them, and enough people off Tumblr interpreted my past Heavy x Medic stuff as platonic "brotherly" stuff that I wanted to make it very clear I see them as a romantic couple.

i like the smooth sillouette, how everything seems to glide neatly around the edges of this character, from the head, to the scarf, to the ear. the textures you used in coloring this are interesting too, especially the iridescent type of color in the scarf, and the touches of green, the roughness of the textures in the color are are a good contrast to the smooth flow of the lines—
he very much gives off the impression of a grizzled old (scifi!) war veteran, so if that's what you're going for, i think you've succeeded

The first picture is my lovely Sasuke of course. I got a watercolor pallet and tried using it for the first time
The second is my bb from the cloud village🥺 I had just got new alcohol markers and wanted to give it a try
3rd is of my OC (not really, just gender swapped kakashi)
And the last is on my wall! I have my whole room painted as Naruto. I’m very proud of it😂

ahh!!! thats wonderful ty for sharing, i'm glad that my work has encouraged you, and i'm glad that you're having fun with the art that you're doing!!!! both watercolor and alcohol markers are tricky mediums to work in, and i wish u the best of luck with them!! these look good, especially for just figuring out the materials!!!!
looking for advice on marketing my own commissions
I have "taking commissions, slots open" as my header on twitter/x and I get multiple people a week approaching me interpreting this as "I am looking for someone to commission" and advertising their art to me I do not know how to explain to people that: 1. I am selling my own art
2. I am not making enough to pay off my own living expenses/repay my college loans and am not buying anything from anyone until my financial situation improves (I don't have an ETA for when this will happen, it could be years from now)
3. (tbh when this does happen, I'm more likely to be commissioning close friends because I know their turnaround time, quality of work, they know what I want on a deeper level, etc.) _____
tl;dr: wording things better but also being polite about it, as I can be blunt sometimes and am working on changing that
