What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
“Oh, well this is a fun question! Are you asking me this because you want to prank me with things I will dislike? Oh no. In that case: please, please, PLEASE don’t get me cute stuffed animals, whiskey, wine, or chocolates. I couldn’t stand it. I’d absolutely roll around in my rage and regret!” An actual list of things Malika finds repulsive are below! - Abuse of Power: If she sees someone using their power (financial, physical, magical, emotional, whatever) in a way that controls, coerces, manipulates, or limits someone who cannot defend themselves from it, she has almost a physical reaction to it. She hates it!
- Debt and Contracts: The very concept of ‘owing’ something to someone else makes her shudder with disgust. She firmly believes that if she does something for someone it should be because she wanted to do. If she stops wanting to do the thing she should be allowed to stop doing it. Specifically, contracts that bind people to a course of action and have stipulations about what happens to you if you break them-- and particularly very carefully worded ones meant to trap you-- are repulsive to her. Set fires to all contracts! If someone doesn’t want to do a thing they should not have to do the thing!
- Swarms: Swarms of bugs for sure. Even the word ‘swarm’ sort of grosses her out. On the surface level: she hates them because swarms are gross! Bugs are gross. Lots and lots of bugs are even grosser. And annoying! And no, No thank you. On a more psychological level, there is something very unsettling about a big group of things all acting as one thing and not stepping out of line. -Giant toads: Nope. Gross. Oh no, ick. Bad. There is no specific reason for this. She just thinks they’re icky. -Lava Toad Legs: People keep trying to feed her this! This is gross. Only feed her this if you want to see make a horrible face and an excuse to get the hell out of there. “Why are people even eating this?? Why would people assume -I- would want to eat this!?” Thank you for the Ask that you sent me 1 million years ago (and sorry for the delay!)
