Estelle had her annual vaccine update today and therefore her annual post-vaccine sickness. It hits the poor girl hard but she'll feel better in the morning.
But when puppy don't feel good, I always worry. Even when I know she'll be just fine after a good sleep.
It's August! Which I celebrate as Estelle's birthday month because I brought her home in August 13 years ago. She was 2, or thereabouts, when I got her. She's thus fifteen this year, a dignified old girl.
Especially when she's being undignified. ;)
here are a few recent pictures of her lazing about - the first pic was after her first glucose monitor was put on her. But she knocked that off about halfway through it's use. So despite the heat (100 F days outside, yikes) she had to be a t-shirt puppy with the second sensor. It lasted the full 15 days, though not ten minutes after I took her shirt off this morning she she scratched the sensor right off.
She's still pretty alert and playful when she's not napping. And food time is still her favorite time. She thinks I don't give her enough treats, lol.
My silly girl leaning on me until she just kind of falls into my lap to go 'huh how did that happen, guess you gotta pay attention to me now ^_^ '
Estelle seems glad to have the shirt off, though I'll likely put another monitor on her soon - I recently changed her food schedule around a bit and while she seems stable with her insulin it'd be good to recheck soon. And since she has a vet visit to up her vaccines soon, that's likely when I'll do it.
Alas, poor puppy will be a t-shirt dog again soon :D
It's 'change the sheets' day today
Estelle does not like this. Those are her blankies I'm taking off the bed. She was snuggling on them in the sunlight. How dare I make her move. And then move again. And again.
Truly, small puppers have the most difficult of lives. :D

my library has nfc in their books to allow for quick checkout where you scan your library card, put the books you want in a pile on the scanner pad, and boom you're good to go, just pick email and/or print for your receipt with return dates on it
however
Estelle's glucose monitor also uses nfc
whenever i have the monitor app open on my phone if it gets laid on top of my library book it attempts to register the book as a new sensor and i'm just like 'noooo, do not do that'
it's funny but also annoying, have not accidentally overriden estelle's sensor yet so it's all good for now
