Chicken! and Dumplings!
Chicken!
2-4 chicken breasts, frozen are fine
1 can cream of chicken soup
2-4 cups chicken stock, boxed is fine
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tbsp minced garlic or ½ tbsp. garlic powder
½ tbsp. garlic powder
1 tsp basil, dried or fresh
1 tsp parsley, dried or fresh
(feel free to use other herbs and spices. This is just what I like, but lots of other things would be outstanding in here as well.)
Put all of these goodies in a crock pot. Turn it up to high. Go read some fic. I suggest:

Five or six hours later, pull the chicken out of the crock pot and shred it with two forks. Toss it back into the crock pot. Mmm, smells so good. Get a taste of it. Go on, you know you're going to. Nom nom, am I right?
Dumplings!
1 ½ cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp dried parsley
6 tbsp melted butter
½ cup milk
In another bowl, mix all the dry goodies. Mix the butter and milk. And now the tricky part—pour the milk and butter INTO the dry ingredients. Stir those juuuust until they’re mixed up. Then take the lid off the crock pot, take a clean spoon, drop the dumpling mixture by small spoonfuls into the soupy chicken deliciousness. Cover. Cook for 25-30 minutes.
Serve with a smile and say “My friend Jennifer taught me to make this.”

Alternate halfway homemade version:
Take a can of refrigerated biscuit dough, tear into pieces, throw into crock pot on top of shredded chicken. Cook that for an hour. Serve it up all nice and charming and bring me a beer, people, I’m fucking exhausted from educating you lot.
