"Who are you?", she questioned in a controlled tone but it cracked at the end.

It could be seen that she was most likely up all night, doing whatever she did alone. After her fight with Mina, and everything else that’s been happening with her, and her and her family, she turned to hard liquor and breath mints. Before arriving at the place her and Mason agreed upon, she popped a few mints in her mouth before chewing and swallowing them. To her, it seemed like it did the job, but she didn’t know it anyone else could smell the alcohol on her breath. “I swear, my roommate cannot sleep for the life of her. Kept me up all night with all her commotion.” Lies. “Anyway... let’s talk divorce, I guess.”

javier had planned this pretty much ever since jean and him had decided to get a kitten together so all of this is more than exciting for him. he dragged his girlfriend out of their place for a little bit so his sister could prepare everything for the two of them and all he needed was a text from her which he did get. that’s why they’re now in the hallway of their place. ❝ okay, you really need to trust me, yeah ❞ he tells her, giving her a quick kiss before covering her eyes with his hands and leading her into the living room where his sister still was with the kitten on her lap. one that looked almost exactly like the one on the picture he had sent to her the other day. besides that, his sister had prepared everything else too. she put up the scratcher javier had gotten a bit ago, laid out all the toys, a little basket for the kitten and more. ❝ i hope you’re ready. ❞ he chuckles, leaning over to kiss her cheek before releasing his hands from her eyes so she could take all of that in. ❝ surprise! ❞
