Isagi was back in Japan. That was all the information Reo got from the message. Well, not really. He also got the airport and time he would arrive. Isagi wanted Reo to pick him up, particularly after this long and exhausting flight. Oh, Reo would be lying if he said that he wasn’t happy to see that message.

Reo hadn’t seen Isagi since he quit Manshine City after his father’s insistence. It was just for one meeting, to see if Reo’s dreams of being the best striker in the world truly stayed. At first, it was one, then another, applying his unique viewpoints from the field to meetings. He truly was meant for this…

When Isagi arrived, running into Reo’s arms, the way that they would in the after parties of either of their games. Isagi always made things better for Reo, even when at the beginning he was envious of Nagi’s admiration to him. Reo just gained the Isagi effect later. With Isagi nestled between his arms, Reo asks something that was on his mind the entire time after that message.

“Why did you come back?”
