Help i'm becoming Hifuupilled So Allow me to explain Some of you may know me as "that one sort-of-popular-ish Touhou style musician that doesn't like the theory that Maribel will become Yukari" right? So here's why i didn't like the theory of Maribel becoming Yukari; It's because i haven't read the Hifuu Club stories after 2009 Remember, i discovered Touhou in 2009 when i was a teenager, and i read the Hifuu Club stories then (remember, the last Hifuu Club story to come out was in 2006 back then) Back then, i didn't like reading as much as i do now, and my teenage self thought that the stories were boring So, it's 2026, and my stupid ass was just randomly listening to Magical Astronomy and looking at the cover and thinking "hmmm i wonder what happened to that annoying blonde girl and that boring brown haired nerd" Bro. I was not prepared for the 17 years of history i missed out on. It's so interesting reading about how the story progresses and how the character have evolved, i didn't expect Renko, the one i felt like was a "boring nerd" back in 2009 to desperately search for Maribel (who was sort of erased from existence?!) to the point of breaking into her home and tearing up the place, and willing to desecrate ancient cultural artifacts no matter the consequences, just to find her again? Like....ummm......holy shit??? Renko??? The one i thought was the boring nerd back in 2009??? I love that that idea i had of her in my head is totally shattered now, the things she's willing to do now are genuinely interesting, a far cry from the old perception i had of her (Okay and Maribel is a more interesting character than i remembered too, but i gotta keep it real with you, Renko's "real one" energy, going from "boring nerd" to "I don't care how many taboo's i break, i will bring you back no matter the cost" is like, DAMN, yeah sorry but i just love the way her character progression is really taking off, i know both have character progression, but i just like how Renk----okay basically to keep it short, i SEVERILY missed out on how cool Renko became over 17 years of missing out! Anyways i'll----okay SHORT VERSION) Short version tl;dr: Hifuu Club is underrated and the development is actually good, I'm okay with the Maribel = Yukari theory now (but am open to everything still), and Renko is a fucking real one, i am so sorry Renko, i have misjudged you REAL TL;DR: I love yuri
