“Ya! y/n, I miss you so much,” Renjun tells his girlfriend through the phone. The girl can’t do anything but to sigh out of sadness. She misses him, too; they haven’t got to spend their time alone since they started their romantic relationship. Y/n is from another country; not South Korea nor China.

y/n and Renjun have been in a long-distance relationship for a couple of months. They met through NCT Dream’s concert last 2020, just right before the pandemic started; y/n caught Renjun’s eyes the moment he laid his eyes on her. Y/n took Renjun’s breath away; the same with how he took hers, too.

It started when Renjun tried his luck to find her on Twitter, searching keywords related to their concert—hoping he would be lucky enough to find the girl who caught his eyes and took his breath away, maybe... maybe, she took his heart, too. When he succeeded on trying to find her, Renjun did not waste any time. The rest was history.

“Renjun, I miss you, too. I can’t wait for this pandemic to be over; I wanna see you so muuuuch!” Y/n said then stuffed her face on the pillow in front of her. It was frustrating for her to not see her boyfriend, AKA her longtime ultimate bias. She did not at all expect that this will happen; but she doesn’t complain. Who is she to complain? Y/n was more than happy to know her dream guy more—personally— get to know him more and see how wonderful of a person he really is; see his side that he does not show in front of the cameras and in front of the fans; see his flaws that seem to make him more perfect. She truly couldn’t ask for more.

“How was your day, Renjun?”

Y/n heard shuffling noise before Renjun answers. Maybe he lied down. “As my girlfriend...” the last word never fails to put butterflies in her stomach.

“What?” She tried to suppress her flustered voice.

“I’ll spoil something for you. Do you want it?”

“Seriously, Renjun? You are still asking me that? I am more than willing to hear every little detail about your day; anything you want to say.”

“How did I get so lucky, y/n? I love you.”

“Yaaaa hahaha. What did Renjun eat today and he’s being so sweet?” It’s not unusual for Renjun to be sweet but it just really makes her heart swell every time.

“It’s true! I am not lying!” He said in a defensive tone.

“I know, Renjun. I love you.” She heard his sigh of content, suspecting he’s smiling from ear toear.

“Anyways, back to the topic. How was your day? Have you eaten yet?”

“I already ate, baobei. We practiced for the comeback, y/n. It’s been a long time since the 7 of us are complete... I missed practicing with Mark hyung haha.”

“Omg! We really are not clowning this time. It’s good to hear,” y/n said, laughing, as she recalls her and her Twitter mutuals suspecting a comeback.

“We?”

“Yeah? NCTzens?”

“Oh. Really?” He asked in an amused tone.

“What? You haven’t been checking Twitter these days? The fans caught you humming to songs unfamiliar to our ears in the past lives, we’re suspecting you have a comeback.”

“Woah damn; you have great ears. Yes, I haven’t been checking Twitter. Besides, the reason why I explored Twitter in the first place is talking to me right now,” he teases y/n; it didn’t fail to make her fluttered but she’s good at hiding it.

“You think you’re smooth, huh. Yes, we do have great ears! That’s why I fell in love with your voice, Huang Renjun~” she teases him back. She heard him giggle on the other line.

“Turn on your camera, baobei,” Renjun instructed to y/n.

Y/n immediately saw Renjun’s face (it’s tinted red). She then opened her camera, too, not minding her messy hair as she was about to sleep when Renjun called.

“Your face is tinted red, Renjun. Did I flatter you that much?” She laughed at Renjun’s reaction. He made a face which made her laugh more than she already did.

“Hey, stop teasing me!”

“Alright, babe. You look wonderful!” She praised him. This couple praises each other nonstop whenever they get to do it; it’s one of the cutest part of their relationship.

“You look more wonderful, baobei— wait!” He looked surprised, pointing a finger at her face shown on the screen of his phone. “You changed your glasses!”

Renjun noticing this made y/n wiggle her eyebrows in joy, “Yes, I did! Do you like it?”

He laughed at her cuteness. How does she get more wonderful every time I see her? “It looks like mine.” It made y/n’s smile wider. He noticed it!

“Purposely chose this one to match yours, Renjun. Does it look okay? Like, with my face?” She showed him every angle of her face, doing funny faces, making Renjun giggle again and again.

“You look beautiful in everything, baobei,” he winked at her which made her glare at him in response.

“Wear yours, too! Let’s take a selfie!” Y/n excitedly tells Renjun. Fixing her hair in the process.

Renjun got up from his bed, leaving his phone on the bed while reaching for his own pair of glasses. He then got back to his original position and position his face right in front of the front camera, smiling.

“One! Two! Three!”

The couple did several poses, some were serious, but most of them were random and funny.

“What time is it there, Renjun?” Y/n asks him after they took pictures.

“1:51, baobei. What about there?” He asks her back.

“00:51. We’re just 1 hour behind your time,” she smiles softly at him, sleepiness slowly taking over her system.

“I wish I could hug you right now, baobei. Shower you with kisses and tell you about my days while holding your hand,” he softly tells her, longing for her and her presence.

“We could do that after the pandemic, babe. I could go there and hear all the things you want to tell me; I will cook for you, too!”

“Sounds like a plan, baobei.”

Your 16th birthday where he bowed down in front of everyone before cutting the cake and asked you out, you still remembered that day clearly. You take a deep breath as your heart warms up even more, taking note of his favorite chocolate box in your hand. 

You open the door in your boyfriend’s room, peeking your head in, “Hey” you said, rather softly. 

Your injured boyfriend looks up from his sleeping position and opens his arms, inviting you to a cuddle, “Hey, honey” 

You keep the chocolate box on his table and take the invitation, walking into his embrace, taking his scent in fully; wood sage and sea salt. 

Renjun broke his leg during practices which resulted in you spending your 4th anniversary in his room. 

You looked up from his chest to get a better look at him; only to see a pout displayed on his face, eyes covered with his messy bed hair, “babe what's wrong?” you asked, sitting up to get a better view of his face. 

“Nothing” he mumbled under his breath and looked away; his pout still well flaunted on his face. 

You cup his face and bring it closer, so now he’s looking directly at you, “tell meeeee”, you whine while his pout only expands. 

Feeling impossible to hold back a kiss because of how cute Renjun looks right now, you lean in for a quick peck, only to see his face brighten. “you know, if you wanted a kiss you could've just asked for one...” 

He only giggles and brings your face closer for another kiss, “where would be the fun in that, hmm?” and leans in; slower and more sensual this time. 

You sigh into his touch which makes him want to kiss you even more.

“Isn’t it too late?” you asked him softly going back to sit on the edge of your bed while he transformed back into his human self. 

You knew this. It was all part of the deal. 

“Deal’s a deal, sweetheart” you physically heard his smirk. He was now leaning against the wall, eyeing his favorite meal, filled with so much hunger; “plus, I’m hungry and didn’t get a good meal the whole day” 

Gently, teasingly, he walked closer to you while his eyes didn’t dare to move away from your neck as you only leaned further into your bed. Within the blink of an eye, he was right in front of you with his hand supporting your head as he dipped down into your neck and whispered “you won’t feel a thing, just relax” 

Too scared to even hear what he just said, you bit your tongue to conceal a yelp and squeezed your eyes shut. 

Renjun slowly looked up to your face, his heart softening over your tightly shut, scared features feeling as if he just crossed a line he shouldn’t have. “...I’m sorry” 

You felt your skin tear and blood surge out as his lips started slurping into your skin - he was right though; it didn’t hurt at all.
