☠ : Are there any recent/daily thoughts they have about death or dying?

Depends on the timeline, but my default is between PoR and RD, during which the only death Soren is thinking about is Ike’s. While Soren may have thought frequently about dying pre-PoR, he pledges to stay by Ike’s side until the end of time by RD and will not break that promise. However, I mentioned in a previous ask that Soren may outlive Ike, and so instead he frequently worries about Ike dying before he does.

♥ : Name one thing about the way their emotions work that they despise.

They’re illogical and unpredictable. He may feel sad or angry even when he knows he shouldn’t be, or frustrated when he knows the outcome was unavoidable. They also hinder efficiency and logic, waste resources and time, etc. If he could turn them off, he would, but he often overcompensates by being exceptionally harsh and merciless instead.

εжз : What about nature do they find calming? What about nature do they find disagreeable?

Laguz appear to be more in tune with nature than beorc, and this sense seems to carry over for Branded as well, so Soren - before he even realized what he was - felt a sort of kinship with the earth and wind. He enjoys being outside by himself, when he can have this sort of spiritual communion with nature, and he finds that it greatly improves his magic. A windy afternoon before a storm is his favorite time to take a walk outside.

olive: is your muse prone to feeling envious of others? if yes, what is it that they typically feel envious over?

Pre- and during the War of Shadows, there was not much Camus desired. His talent and hard work helped him rise through the ranks and attain a generalship rather quickly, he was tasked with the long (and rather intimate) protection of a princess, and he had achieved fame across the Archanean continent by the time he was twenty-five, among other things. He was more likely to be the object of envy than to be envious of others, and even with matters of the heart, I don’t believe Camus would have ever envied men who could be with their loves. He always knew his relationship with Nyna wouldn’t work out the way either of them wanted, and he probably blamed his own moments of emotional vulnerability that fostered those feelings instead of wishing for different life circumstances.

However, as Zeke, it’s clear that he feels less secure with himself. Tatiana mentions that he thinks not having his memories makes him less whole, so he probably has a sort of contemplative melancholy whenever he finds himself in conversations where the other person is recounting a fond memory of their past. For the majority of Valentia’s war, this actually stifles Zeke - he’s so caught up searching for the past that he doesn’t realize that he can make new memories - but he seems to start coming to terms with it by the end of FE15 (his base dialogue in Act 4 is more along the lines of “I’m probably better off not remembering anyway”). However, even after he regains his memories after FE2/FE15, I don’t think he ever truly fills in all the holes, and so he’d continue to be somewhat envious of those who have access to their entire personal histories. He’s trying to get better though and live more in the now.

mallow: what sorts of things might remind your muse of those close to them? any scents, objects, sounds?

Though he might not seem like it, Camus is highly perceptive of his companions’ habits and hobbies, and considering that he rarely ever does things for himself, he’s much more likely to think of them when he’s in the marketplace, traveling, etc. An exotic tea blend might make him think of Belf, for example, or a rose brooch will make him think of Nyna. He’s less likely to associate battle with the rest of his knights, since he fights alongside and against so many people, but certain footwork or riding positions will remind him of his companions if they’re unique.

Most princesses, or princess-like women, will make him think of Nyna, whether or not they share any characteristics. Nyna is the only woman he has managed to be so intimate with prior to Tatiana, and so he tends to relate any new interaction back to some point in time when he had a similar interaction with Nyna, how she reacted, etc. His strong Sensing qualities (I’ve determined him to be an ISTJ) and the way he compares every new experience to a familiar experience of the past to adjust his behavior is a large reason why losing his memories left him so disoriented.

Since his relationship with Tatiana is different and built on a more autonomous foundation, Zeke’s associations with her are a bit stronger. I’ve mentioned before that Zeke enjoys watching Tatiana cook, so the scent of baking bread or frying onions can take him back instantly to their little kitchen, no matter where he is. The smell of jasmine reminds him of her hair. The sea foam on the waves also conjure her image.

“Of course I do!” Aversa cried, highly agitated. “That… cretin has perversed all that I know and understand of love! He betrayed me, used me, and would have cast me aside the second it suited him – I’m certain of it!” 

She fought back tears. “If it happens again… If I give my all to another person, only to find out I meant nothing to them, I’m not sure… what would be left. If anything.” The thought haunted her.

“Of course I do! I know he’s trying to look out for me, but it’s hard to appreciate that when he refuses to see my own merits,” Tana huffed, clenching her fists, “He’s so patronizing!”

☤ : Is there anything about their health they are continuously on edge about? Something they disregard?

Not really- Python is still relatively young and healthy. He has plenty of aches and pains, especially in his shoulders/arms/hands from his archery, but at least for now, they’re just from overuse rather than an underlying problem. Aside from being hung over more often than he’d probably like, he has no notable illnesses.

One thing that does bother him pretty consistently, however, is the burn scar that he mentioned in the thread with Shinon. He downplayed it a lot there (since the details are pretty un-sexy), but it’s quite large and it was bad- very easily the most serious injury he’s ever received, and more painful than he really cares to remember. It was deep enough that it damaged nerves, so despite the work of healing magic, he still has some partial numbness in that area, which he notices many times a day, whenever anything brushes or touches that area. With time he’ll get used to it, but it’s still new enough during the war that it irritates him quite a bit.

☾ : On a sleepless night, what would they be found doing?

Considering that’s more nights than not for him, what wouldn’t he be found doing? Often, if there’s a tavern nearby, that’s where he’ll be, drinking, playing cards or other games, or other “activities,” if he finds someone interested. On quieter nights when he’s not in the mood for that, he may do necessary tasks like maintaining his equipment or repairing his or Forsyth’s clothing, or he may whittle- he still hates carpentry and large scale building, but carving a small block of wood into a little statue is oddly soothing, and often he gets absorbed in it enough that it passes the time quickly. Occasionally, if nothing else is appealing, he’ll lay outside under a tree and watch the sky, until either he dozes off or the sun comes up.

He enjoys the warm Zofian sun, but his favorite weather is a light summer rain- he’s the type to just go sit in it and not care how wet he gets. He enjoys the gentle hiss of it as well, along with the sounds of the crickets and cicadas that often keep him company late at night.

“…Kind of.” Artur hadn’t realized another person approached him until they spoke, and though spooked, he offers him a weary smile. The ballroom was indeed stuffy, raising in temperature like a campfire. Out here, at least, there was a decent breeze going.

Of course, that was entirely the reason for his leaving. “I’m fine, though. I appreciate the concern…What’s your name?”

🌙 = are the mun and muse more morning, day, or night people? when are they the most relaxed? when do they get the most work done? 

mathilda is a morning / day person, mostly courtesy of her upbringing. at this point she can’t not be up with the sun, basically, though she tends to be most productive in the late morning / early afternoon, between 10 AM to 3 PM. like a normal, responsible human being.

mun on the other hand is a night owl to the extreme. mornings don’t exist to me unless they have to. the only reason i would ever be awake before 8 am is if i haven’t slept at all ( and if i can hack it, i’m not awake before noon ). evening / night is definitely my most productive time; it’s when i typically write all my papers, do all my work, and am most engaged, so about 6-7 PM onwards. during finals week my friends joke that i turn to “vampire schedule” because i will typically start working around 9 PM into the wee hours of the morning, then go to sleep around 6-7 AM when i’m done. 

there were definitely a couple years of college where i had exams at from 9 AM to noon and i would study through the night, go take the exam, get lunch, come back and sleep until 7-8 PM, get dinner, rinse and repeat. it’s just what i default to if i need to get shit done. probably stems from the fact that, during high school, night hours were the only time when i could be sure no one would bother me and i could just lock in and focus for long stretches of time.

💫 = how does either mun or muse handle being sick? do they need someone to take care of them, or are they capable of taking care of themselves just fine?

mathilda, being the eldest of five children, is very capable of being responsible about illness. if she detects symptoms early on, she takes precautions ahead of time ( again, like a responsible human being ). she gets plenty of rest, drinks her fluids, gives her body the chance to fight off whatever it is. she knows the limits of what she can handle, but will responsibly take time off her duties, etc. to make sure that she recovers. after all, if she just continues to deteriorate, she’s no good to anyone. plus, in a 7 person households, sicknesses spread fast, so she can’t afford to just weather through it. she’s got a robust and healthy immune system, so she’s typically fine within a week, and doesn’t get sick easily to begin with.

{ honestly? SAME HERE... i don’t even know how to describe why i like it, but just... silas is just full of love and affection and he has this heart with enough room in it for everyone. he wants to help everyone as best he can-- he just can’t leave someone in trouble alone, for better or worse. it might just be the death of him one day.

and then jakob is the opposite-- he’s got his people he cares for (to differing degrees), and the people outside of that circle are insignificant. well, i think he does care somewhat, but if you compare them to his special people, the gap is impossibly large. despite that, i think they both respect each other, and they definitely have a love of corryin in common that they would understand in each other. both of them were saved by corryin, after all... there would be no arguments about whether or not to put corryin before themselves, because that would always be a yes.
