So @huacheng-zhu and I talked about ebooks and how they wanted a version of their fic “the recluse at the end of the moonlit path” as an ebook, but were sad they couldn’t add a cover.

...which I know how to do. I offered to draw one, and they basically went “Oh no no no, I possibly can’t ask you to do that”, which - if I like the subject matter, and like the person who asked, I’m 95% more likely to do it anyways. XD

This was a really quick thing, hahaaa. But so fun! I loved sitting in that univese for a while again. :3

Once upon a time, I drew a cover for the personal e-pub version of @huacheng-zhu ‘s fic the recluse at the end of the moonlit path . Back when we first talked about potential covers, they were like:

“even if it was a tiny little chibi remp! wangxian being cute at the bottom of a white page, I'd be honored and over the moon🥺“

Disclaimer: Never enable me like that. I WILL be thinking about it two months later still, and ruminate until I’ve got something presentable on the page.  😂

But I also used as excuse to practice chibi drawings. I’ve been rewatching a few MDZS Q episodes, and I love the drawing style, so I’ve tried to emulate it, while giving it still a few Rima™ touches.

now, I have to add some little stuff to chapter 4, then while it goes to actual editing, I’ll go over the last chapter for self-editing.
