Today Is The Day For Relaxation!

We think we are relaxing when we watch TV, scroll our phones or read a book but the truth is, that's no different to leaving your computer on standby all the time.
You still need to switch the computer off completely to allow it to update and reboot otherwise it becomes full of bugs, a bit slow and just does not work as well!
And it's the same with you. Without 'proper' down time, (which in this day and age no one has a clue about), how can you totally switch off and allow your mind some well deserved rest?
1 Be mindful. Get yourself involved in whatever you are doing. We do everything on autopilot nowadays - from the washing up to driving. So instead get your mind on the job so you are in the present moment and not a millions miles away. Really wash those dishes smile emoticon sounds dull perhaps but when you are truly focussed on what you are doing and not on what happened last week, your soul is far happier as she is being expressed, and you will feel more relaxed and at peace in the process.
2 Meditate. Get a guided meditation or just sit silently and observe your breath, how your body feels, the relaxation of your muscles and your heart and mind. Go through your 7 chakras seeing their petals opening up and releasing any heavy darkness trapped in there If your mind wanders then bring it back to your breath or your third eye.
3 Be out in nature. Go for a walk, sit by a river, climb a tree ..and breathe in the fresh air, feel yourself connected into Mother Earth through the chakras at the soles of your feet and feel the roots growing from them down into her core where she can start to feed her lovely earthy steadying energy back up into your body.
4 Have a bath and really soak in there and just switch your mind off as you lie back in the bubbles. Let your mind wander and any thoughts which pop up, don't follow them, just allow them to meander past like clouds...if you find yourself in a train of thought just bring yourself back to how your skin feels in the hot water, your heart beat, your breathing...anything which gets you centred back in to yourself
Pick one of them or all of them and enjoy a moment of proper relaxation! At last!
