ㅤㅤㅤ𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐈𝐄  is  Junha's  cat  familiar.  Taken  in  from  the  streets  when  she  was  just  a  kitten,  Junha  performed  a  special  ritual  to  consecrate  their  bond,  sharing  immortality  with  Cookie  through  giving  the   cat  a  fragment  of  her  soul.  Now  tied  to  Junha's  powers  of  umbrakinesis,  Cookie's  physical  form  is  actually  comprised  of  shadows,  able  to  solidify  or  become  intangible  at  will,  and  unable  to  be  harmed  by  any  conventional  means.  She  is  also  able  to  merge  with  Junha's  shadow  to  travel  with  her  and  be  with  her  at  all  times  when  desired.

ㅤㅤㅤJunha  is  able,  with  focus,  to  access  Cookie's  senses  at  any  time  and  see  what  she  sees,  hear  what  she  hears,  so  on  and  so  forth.  Beyond  that,  she  is  capable  of  fully  sharing  Cookie's  mind  and  navigating  as  the  cat  herself.  This  is  largely  better  for  purposes  such  as  information  gathering,  but  full  mind-sharing  can  be  dangerous  as  it  requires  Junha  to  enter  a  trance  and  allow  her  spirit  to  fully  enter  Cookie,  thus  leaving  her  physical  form  vulnerable  for  as  long  as  she  is  separated  from  it.  To  return  to  her  body,  Junha,  as  Cookie,  must  make  physical  contact  with  herself,  meaning  it's  possible  for  her  to  become  trapped  in  Cookie's  body  as  long  as  she  is  unable  to  reach  herself,  or  possibly  be  trapped  forever  if  her  abandoned  body  is  destroyed.

ㅤㅤㅤCookie  can  easily  be  identified  amongst  other  cats  for  her  pink  eyes;  the  exact  same  color  as  Junha's.  She  also  has  a  collection  of  collars  that  Junha  dresses  her  in,  typically  diamonds,  pearls,  or  a  pink  ribbon.  While  Cookie  no  longer  needs  to  eat  to  survive,  she  is  still  fed  exclusively  fresh  food  of  the  highest  quality  purely  for  her  own  enjoyment.  This  cat  is  beyond  spoiled.

KALCES —— the unicorn.

there was once a unicorn who met a girl in a place where humans aren’t supposed to be. he should have run but instead he stayed. humans are killers, he’d been told, but this one didn’t seem to be a killer at all. for a time he waited; for a longer time he watched. then one day he came forward as she was dying of thirst, trapped in a bog of poison and murk, and laid his horn on the water. he purified it, just enough for her to drink and get her fill, and live.

but the bog was the owned by the three crones, who saw the unicorn clear their water. they grew angry at his insolence. so they cursed him, and swore to reclaim the life he had taken from them.

the unicorn carried the girl away from the bog, and when she awoke, he asked her why her kind had slaughtered his own. he asked her about hatred, if she understood it, if he. but she had no answer aside from an apology, and his heart broke in front of her, and he fell in love.

together the two of them traveled farther than i can tell you, and twice as far as you can tell me. they learned from each other: her about him, and him about her. but curses don’t care about distances, and curses don’t care about love. eventually it found them in the form of a three-faced woman, who came to the girl in her sleep and told her of how the unicorn had offended the crones of the bog. frightened for him, she asked the three-faced woman how undo the curse. the three-faced woman grinned three times over and gave her a vial of black bog-water, just enough for her to drink and get her fill. it was time to reclaim the life the unicorn had taken. the girl, determined to save her friend, took the vial, and drank.

when she awoke, her veins were black, and her lips were blue. her struggle to draw breath roused the unicorn, who saw the curse of the bog on her flesh, and despaired. he knew what it was the crones were after, so he struck his horn on the ground at the girl’s feet, breaking it in two. then he fell to his knees, picked it up in human hands, and pierced his heart straight through. 

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 : 𝐘𝐈 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐊𝐘𝐔.

I  never  understood  what  made  your  lips  on  my  neck  such  an  intimate  affair  until  your  teeth  grazed  my  pulse,  and I  realized,  you  could  tear  open  my  throat  and make  me  bleed  out  in  your  arms. but  instead — 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐬.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤJunha  first  knew  of  Namkyu  through  Jaeshin,  her  then-boyfriend.  Namkyu  was  his  sire,  and  Jaeshin  went  out  of  his  way  to  warn  her  to  stay  away  from  the  man.  She  learned  early  on  that  he  was  both  ancient  and  dangerous;  a  being  that  was  not  to  be  played  with.  And  yet,  when  Junha's  life  had  spiraled  beyond  her  control,  it  was  Namkyu  she  sought.  Unable  to  bear  her  old  life  any  longer,  she  sought  a  new  one  —  one  where  she  had  power  and  freedom,  no  longer  at  the  mercy  of  the  industry  that  sought  to  dictate  all  that  she  was.  She  came  to  him  knowing  she  had  no  right  to  ask  for  his  gift,  that  he  could  very  well  just  dispose  of  her  and  rid  himself  of  one  more  person  who  knew  of  his  secret,  yet  she  stood  before  him  not  absent  of  fear,  but  determined  in  spite  of  it.  She  placed  her  life  in  his  hands  and  at  his  judgement.  Her  boldness  caught  his  attention,  but  she  knew  what  would  appeal  most:  her  connection  to  Jaeshin,  and  she  presented  the  idea  of  her  turning  as  an  act  of  spite.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤFortunately  for  Junha,  she  had  intrigued  him  enough.  Namkyu  turned  her  on  a  singular  condition:  that  she  swear  herself  to  him.  And  that,  she  did  in  earnest,  swearing  her  soul,  her  body,  even  her  heart,  if  he  should  want  it.  She  treated  her  turning  like  a  gift;  not  a  necessary  tragedy.  When  she  awoke  into  her  new  life  as  a  vampire,  she  never  looked  back.  For  a  year,  she  spent  her  time  working  with  Namkyu  and  his  company,  preparing  a  new  sound  and  image  for  her  eventual  comeback;  one  that  would  be  fully  transformative,  discarding  her  shattered  image  as  a  perfect  idol  and  embracing  the  truer,  darker  parts  of  herself.  Her  comeback  and  the  sudden  announcement  that  she  had  signed  with  Erebos  Entertainment  sparked  a  media  wildfire,  and  her  global  success  outshone  all  of  the  controversy  that  had  come  before.  Namkyu  had  kept  his  promises  to  her,  and  Junha  would  keep  hers  in  turn.  She  helped  Erebos  grow,  becoming  involved  in  business  dealings  and  working  on  her  own  to  lure  in  new,  promising  talent,  and  never  once  has  her  loyalty  to  Namkyu  wavered.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤBut  their  relationship  was  not  strictly  business,  as  they  pretended  for  some  time.  Rumors  abounded  that  there  was  more  going  on  between  Erebos's  founder  and  his  new  starlet,  but  no  one  close  enough  to  know  the  truth  would  dare  comment  on  it.  Over  time,  however,  they  grew  less  keen  on  hiding  the  nature  of  their  relationship,  and  it  became  an  open  secret  within  Erebos  itself  that  they  were  romantically  involved.  Eventually,  after  over  two  years  of  maintaining  the  privacy  of  their  relationship,  they  began  to  appear  openly  in  public  together.  No  official  confirmation  was  ever  given  to  the  media,  but  Junha  confirmed  it  in  a  rather  cheeky  (and  controversial)  fashion  by  simply  posting  a  picture  of  Namkyu  after  a  shower  together  on  her  instagram.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤMere  months  later,  rumors  began  to  circulate  that  the  two  were  expecting  their  first  child,  but  the  grounds  for  this  presumption  was  questionable,  based  only  on  a  few  candid  pics  taken  by  paparazzi  that  appeared  to  show  Junha  with  a  small  baby  bump  and  her  subsequent  disappearance  from  the  public  eye  for  a  time,  which  just  so  happened  to  coincide  with  the  end  of  her  Fallen  Angel  tour.  Eventually  it  would  be  revealed  that  the  two  indeed  had  a  child  —  a  daughter  named  Mirae  —  but  she  was  only  introduced  to  the  public  after  her  third  birthday.  The  heir  of  House  Yi  remains  greatly  protected  from  both  the  intrusive  public  eye  and  potential  supernatural  threats,  never  spotted  without  one  of  her  parents  or  another  trusted  member  of  the  household  close  at  hand.
