(literally just a pink blob but A BEAUTIFUL PINK BLOB)
im actually really excited about pokemon pocket, too, which is a lil embarrassing to admit for some reason hfjbdgjhbdf i have a decent collection of physical cards that ive been collecting for many years now, so i really wanna see if we'll be able to like? digitize our existing cards? or if we have to start from scratch :P

gosh well,Ā i remember really distinctly the experience of waiting for my connecting flight on the day that fleshĀ dropped and struggling desperately to decipher jared hopworthās horrible meaty murmurs in the middle of a crowded airport!! i spent the entire flight feverishly writing up analysis. and i think my favorite memory i have associated with tma is identifying and diagramming a vespericola columbianus snail while i listened to cul-de-sac, while i was on a field research trip with no service (cul-de-sac includes one of my favorite statements, by the way). i caught up with most of tma season 4 on that trip, and then the thursday we drove back, the lastĀ dropped, so i got to listen to that one while i drove our research van across oregon. the trip was a fiasco for totally unrelated reasons- we had to drive over miles of potholes, nearly got rear-ended by a cop, and then we almost ran out of gas! but that episode was so romantic (by tma standards!) that my heart stayed warm through the whole ordeal.Ā

Welp that's a big bummer about 8tracks :'(. So much fandom and internet history about to be lost. Hi-key though, thanks about posting/reblogging about it - I wouldnt have had a clue and wouldve been too late to save my playlists from years ago.
God, Iām really fucked up about it, like emotionally/psychologically.
Even the stuff I have been able to save, and thereās just not enough that Iāve been able to save, is so mangled.
The tracklists that donāt contain any tags or cover art. The spotify playlists that are missing 2/3 or more of the tracks.
Iāve saved roughly 750 track lists and successfully exported about 200 (incomplete) playlists to spotify, but thatāsā¦ thatās a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the content.
Thereās always more to find.
There are 95 fandomstuck playlists on 8tracks. I only JUST remembered to check for a fandomstuck tag, and now the text file and spotify buttons have disappeared so I canāt get to them.
Iāve been on the knifeās edge of a panic attack for days now.
But I canāt even begin to imagine how hard itās going to hit on New Yearās Day when I realize itās gone, anything we couldnāt save is just gone.
