Mr Jugmohan has the following concerns-:
1. The cancellation of last years Independence Day celebrations
2. Renaming the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts to Ministry of Culture and Community Development. Mr Jugmohan states that THE ARTS in his estimation is undermined and he feels dispondant about what he sees as the possibility of the Arts continuing to be sidelined.
3. Mr Jugmohan also mentions the continued protests in Port-of-Spain where freedom of speech is being not only curtailed, it is being eroded by laws stating a list of fifteen places no longer being allowed as protest zones such as The Red House, Woodford Square and Piarco Airport to name three.
This ongoing matter has heated up and will blow its top. Our government does not seem to know how to deal with the rising temperature. Or moreso, does not want to listen, empathise or appear to care.
