“Seriously?” Slater yells over the sound of the crowd and machines around them. “I once saw you grab a fucking snake with your bare hands and this is what freaks you out?”

“Okay, first of all, it was a garden snake. Secondly, these things were just not made for large people.” Braydon shouts back. To prove his point, he pulls down on the bar in front of him, but it won’t lock any further over his long, long legs.

Slater laughs, rolling his eyes. “You’ll be fine. We were in line for-fucking-ever and did a single person die? No.” 

“Just--” Braydon sighs through clenched teeth, squeezing the Slater’s hand tighter as the pirate ship ride finally started it’s slow rocking motion. “Can you just--” He closes his eyes tight and Slater notices a slight tremor going through his body.
