I love the idea that some clones hate getting scarred from battle or looking different from the rest of the clones because they are clones and are meant to be alike. Clones who attempt to be unique usually get treated slightly differently, especialy by the long-neck kaminoans.
However Cody doesn't hate his scar, I like to believe that the scar was an accident during one of his earlier missions. Maybe it was caused by Obi-wan somehow. I wrote a fic about how his lightsaber hit Cody in the face and burnt it, though I'm not sure the scar was burn.
Either way, I think Cody had a good look in the mirror before deciding that he liked having the scar, it was unique to him (Gives me an idea for a soulmate au now that I'm thinking about it🤷). Like a finger print of sorts. When all the clones have the same finger print that isn't the best analogy.
Imagine if their barracks were unlocked with fingerprints so if you burnt you fingerprints off then you'd be stuck outside the barracks... Maybe no fingerprint locks then.
