Waking up is hard to do || Regreta
The light streaming through the leaves of the trees woke Greta up. It wasnât unusual for her to be asleep in this spot. Her dorm room had never been her favourite place at Hogwarts. But waking up in the arms of the boy she loved was. While it had happened before it hadnât happened enough for her to be used to it. Even if it happened every morning the blonde doubted sheâd ever get used to it. Not that it was even an option for it to happen more often let alone every morning. Their relationship being secret was not the only reason it wasnât an option, though that was of course the only one that really mattered. Even if people knew about them it wouldnât be an option. The idea of people talking about her and Regulus like they surely would was not appealing. However, it was still early and a few moments longer wouldnât hurt. The sun in her eyes assured her that she wouldnât fall back asleep. Resisting the urge to snuggle deeper in his arms and do just that she laid there listening to his heartbeat and the sounds of the world starting to wake up.Â
Thinking over the night before brought a smile to her lips. When Professor Dumbledore announced that Slytherin had won the cup it had been difficult for her to keep her face blank, let alone show disappointment. Ravenclaw didnât have a chance at it so it wasnât as if their not getting it was a surprise. Slytherin deserved it, or at least Regulus did, heâd played incredibly well this year. It didnât matter what people thought about his teammates or his house they couldnât argue with that. Greta was very proud of him and excited for him but of course she couldnât show it. Which was frustrating, to say the least. But there was nothing to do but hold it in until she got to see him, whenever that might be. There could be no doubt that Slytherin would be partying, who wouldnât? Though he didnât care for the parties his housemates threw she knew there was no way he could resist this one.Â
Which was way she was surprised, pleased of course but still surprised, when heâd shown up last night. Regulus was so excited and heâd wanted to share that excitement with her. He wanted to celebrate with her. While she didnât have a lot of experience, or any really, with boyfriends she was certain that he was the best one ever. It wasnât until thinking over the night that she realised she hadnât told him congratulations. She at least had a good reason as it was difficult to talk with his lips on hers. Not that she minded, who would complain about snogging Regulus Black? Not Greta that was for sure. Still she felt bad for forgetting to congratulate him regardless of the circumstances. At least she had some time this morning to tell him.Â
With a sigh she moved to wake him. âReg, love. Itâs morning.â The blonde whispered her words softly against his neck before lightly kissing it. She laid her head back down, fingers playing idly with one of his buttons and waited for him to wake up. Except, unlike before, he didnât. Amused she leaned up and whispered a touch louder and closer to his ear this time. âTime to wake up, love.â Feeling a little cheeky she playfully nipped his ear after. Hopefully that would be enough to wake him as she would prefer to wake Reg up gently. It just seemed like a better way to start the day.Â
