Luca's favorite season is spring. call him a romantic all you want, but he loves being out in the rain

if he wasn't born a prince, he would have loved to be a cobbler's son. that's right. he would have enjoyed learning to repair shoes for people! especially for those who could not afford it.

before he was poisoned bedridden, luca would often lie (?) lay (?) awake at night wondering how to woo magdalena the next day. he's come up with some pretty decent (but unrealistic) ideas, like sneaking off to the nearby village to find her a canine companion. maybe he wanted an excuse to have a dog too, but the intention was there

growing up, him and sheridan would often sneak sweets into their secret hideout (which was just the dilapidated greenhouse). the cook eventually caught on and would add an extra dessert to their supper plates so that they would be appeased

sheridan has this mysterious aura about her but honestly, if you get enough wine in her, she opens up like a book. she becomes happier and honestly friendlier. maybe it's the alcohol, but there's a higher chance it's actually because it reminds her of her family (re: her parents were wine mages)

she's never had a crush before olette. No one has quite piqued her interest before, and maybe that's because she was focused on being a good mage, but it was different with the princess. they were both equally attracted to each other, so it was super easy for them to fall into flirting. if Luca's life wasn't in question, sheri would be planning to have a very serious conversation with olette (AKA the "is this Love? I want it to be" talk)

her fellow court mages were all jealous that Sheridan got to be the prince's personal guard. luca was charming, even if he wasn't trying to attract anyone. luckily for him, sheri considers him a brother and also is not attracted to men lol

when she gets to sleep in the safety of her own quarters, she sleeps with her childhood stuffed animal. it's a bunny rabbit that her mom made for her after she noticed sheri watching a rabbit hole near their home. as tough as she is, sheridan still sleeps most comfortable when it's with her.

okay, sorry, I am capable of making sense. But the good thing is I literally prepared myself for this so I'm deadened to it. But also, THE FIRST THING HE THINKS OF IS MAGGIE. NOT THAT HE'S DYING, BUT FUCKING MAGGIE.

the first thing he thinks of is Maggie 😔 i wondered if anyone would catch that. his first thought as he was fading out was if Magdalena would be next, and that he needed to warn her somehow.. and then he dropped.

if anyone was wondering, Luca isn’t at all weak—but there was something more to the stabbing that made him incapable of fighting back. which we will find out in Ch. 16!!!!

she has tried to keep that forehead curl contained all her life! always hated how girlish it made her look instead of mature. but as of late, she doesn't mind it... especially since someone likes to try and brush it off her forehead whenever they're mid-sentence.

she has her father's eyes, as you might have realized awhile ago! this has always been an advantage as everyone looks at her as if she is her father's legacy (which... she is), but a disadvantage in the sense that now everyone compares them and their differing opinions.

maggie dislikes eating fish, but any time it is served, she eats it anyway. the castle's chef delights in pleasing her majesty, and it (secretly) hurts her heart to see his little mustache turn into a frown.

she used to have breakouts when she was young. it got so bad that she begged her father to please let a dermal mage help (and as we know, he hated mages, so he said no). her mother snuck out to get some ointment for her, and her skin has never broke out since. maggie will never forget her mother's kindness, even if they weren't close.
