The amount of speech quirks I pick up from content I enjoy is so large that one day I'll be able to have conversations where every sentence has at least one reference. Probably more. Sentences that are an amalgamation of funny phrases and fandom jokes. This is something normal to want to achieve

Not as confusing as all that - I've absorbed rather a lot by osmosis (hard not to with you guys on my dash all the time) so I had at least a vague idea of what you were all on about :)

It was kind of a strange experience because half the time I realised what .gif was going to happen moments before it actually did, but then there were major aspects of the film which I had no idea existed (e.g. Hugo Weaving and his weird red face, most of the plot points which don't evoke FEELS like the plane with the bombs and so on). I also greatly appreciated the Dr Strangelove and A Matter of Life and Death references I spotted (I imagine there were lots more but I'm by no means an expert on war films as that kind of stuff isn't really my cup of tea. Also I just typed 'loaf' rather than 'life' - thanks a bunch Nick Park).
